Over 100 of 400 cases already sold in first 20 minutes. Wow!

So these were just the ones already allocated for group breaks?

300 cases left for retail sales direct then.

No different when any other release on the market has product allocated to its major resellers.

It's not uncommon for a release to have over 40-50% of its product "sold" (allocated to resellers) even before release date.

No, the 100+ cases has been to retail customers, not breakers.

Didn't Glory absolutely tank? So not all releases sell at that pace.

Good sign for Select if half the stock at that price is sold.

Yes Glory didn't sell as well because a) there was little notice about the product coming b) was released very late in the year

I know releases like Elite NRL can have 50-60% of the stock sold (allocated) even before release date.

I have seen a couple of products which had 400 - 500 cases have 350-400 cases already allocated before release date and the rest for direct sales and/or network services.

Its not that uncommon.

How big is the NRL market compared to AFL though?

If half the allocation is sold within the first hour and a half, then you can assume the rest will be sold within 3-4 days. Depending on the market moving and third party stores who may not of bought any yet.

I just can't get my head around the idea that they literally had years to set this up, dangled the option of Afterpay for people who can't afford a one big cost and then butcher it at pre-release to the point it may not be available in time before most of it it not all is sold.

Pretty sure all the breakers have to by them retail online today like the rest of us. And the fact that they have already taken money off people would mean they are likely to get in straight away to make sure they can meet their commitments.

i noted in the current preview 12/13 from select on youtube that they say all signatures in the series are on car signatures. no stick on or cut signatures, so they do look at pages like this and knock over the rumours quick, on occasion.
