Sandown Card Show 21/6

hey dan,

Can you get some packs of what the show is like? Just interested as Perth doesnt have a Card only show. And particualy the cricket/AFL sellers ;)

Caint wait to hear about it :)

Sure mate! if you sit down and complete your price list for me!!

Ron needs to know how much his cards are worth!! (wink wink)

Good News for you Tim saw your card for $45 the guys from sports card world in adelaide came over for the show!

Liam, Got your SW Sketch for $15 will send it off this week!

Wish i had more money as there was a hell of a lot on offer, and at various prices Futera 94/95 sigs from $80 to $150
Neil Harvey for £300 and the trusty ikon sigs for $30-120(for Ponting)
For those wanting freshman from Futera Elite i saw lots and have an email address if you want them.
Brad Sorry there was only complete sets of Crazy Cricket (68) and in excellent condition going for $2750.

Next show is the Malvern Town hall on 2nd August! Happy to take orders for that one!
Cheers Dan

Your a good man:thumbsup: will put some money in your account tonight...
Great price too, that completes that set of medallist's for me. Now I can be
done with the new select releases and concentrate on all the old gold!

I am definitely interested in the email addy for the freshman cards!

$275 for an 81 set sounds pretty exy, I think I put $150 as a high price for a mint set, but hey if I was selling mine off I would be happy as with $275! Do you know if that set came with checklists and the game card as well? (Just out of curiosity)

Find any of your SW cards?

Cheers Liam

No worries mate happy to help!

The 81 set looked great and had all checklist cards!

There was 1 SW embossed SW Card but they wanted $50 and i didn't have the readies!

Will get them eventually
Cheers!

Cheers for looking out for me Dan. I was offered a mint set of Krazy Kricket and a mint set of 1965 Scanlens for $4K recently through a guy who knew someone in Melb - I think the ones you saw today may be the same sets.

Makes me feel better for paying $700 for the set of '65 recently - mine is certainly not mint but at worst an 8/10.

Sounds like prices on the whole were fairly high?? Would you agree?

Looks like the global financial crisis has not hit the cricket card market!!

Yeh on the whole there as some high prices but if you looked around there were some bargins!
Most of these guys were more than happy to haggle and cash is king! The show incorporated a number of other hobbies but the card area was very strong with more tables than the last one in April!
The GEC as my step Mother calls it has not affected the diehard fans! I am looking forward to the day i go in with a $1000! Charge!!!! You would be able to pick up almost anything except the rarest cards!!
will have to wait a bit i think!!

Tax time is coming soon though. I can feel some economic stimulation coming on! The GFC or GEC or Recession or whatever the media wants to hype it up to be, doesn't seem as bad in Australia as the rest of the world. Where I work we are still pumping out tens of thousands of square metres of gyprock and other building products everyday and its all getting sold somewhere...

Finished off the 93/94 master set (Alan Border Gold seal Auto excepted of course)
Picked up 3 awards and 3 memories from various guys for $50 Had a great chat to Craig Hodges too, he had some great stuff including the ACB Platinum sets that seemed to be selling well i might hit him up for a bulk deal early next year!

On the whole it was great to see so much available and to se so many there! would be a great time to build a collection from scratch or pick up the long lost holes in the collection!

Great work Dan  next time you have a spare $2500 minimum you might be able to pick up that AB  If you can find it that is...
What was craig selling those sets for down there?

Six 1993/94 inserts for $50 - good buying Dan!

I reckon you could count me in on a set of Platinum - from what i've seen that is one very classy looking set.

So no SW Decider sigs there for you? :(

And out of interest did you see any 97/98 Select sigs there?
