Hey Guys
Ive been doing this sms competition for a psp for a few days now im in the knockout stage, and the question i just got asked is-
The sentence: 'I'm so hungry i could eat a horse' is a -
A) Conceit
B) Metaphor
C)Hyperbole

Does anyone know the correct answer for sure?

Thanks guys

I'm backing Metaphor:

"We speak in metaphors. I am so hungry, I could eat a horse. It doesn't mean you're going to actually eat one of those lovely creatures, it means you're very, very hungry."

BUT, I may be wrong....

Just found this:
"It's what you would call a hyperbole, a slight exaggeration for effect."

LOL.... go figure... :? :?: :? :?: :? :?: :? :?: :?

HYPERBOLE - A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect, as in I could sleep for a year or This book weighs a ton.
:)

Hope this helps
