A few people expressed interest in having an online season in NBA2K10. I know some guys already run one on the Xbox but thought we might move forward with a PS3 season if there are enough people interested.

To run a season you need a minimum of 4 people so anyone who wants in please post in this thread and also have a say on the following options:

How many minutes per Quarter?
How many games in the season?
How many games in each playoff Bracket?
Fantasy Draft. Yes or No?

I'll be in depending how often I will need to be playing? (since I'm under the thumb whether I like to believe it or not :lol:)

Hi guys

Ill be in but can you please make it after Christmas as im getting it as a present :)

And:

1) Its up to how many people there are for how many games
2) I rekon 3 games for each playoff.
3) Is a fantasy draft where we can pick any player? Like a fantasy draft for Fantasy League. If so, can I pick first :) Or each player picks their team (eg- I pick Miami Heat)
I say do Fantasy League as people will just pick Lakers and Cleverland and Boston.

I'm in a similar situation however in the settings you can turn on 'flexible schedule' which i think means you can go ahead and play games further in the schedule if the other team happens to be online...you don't need to stick to the order of the schedule.

Also in the options you can choose how many days to allow for each round to be played. If you don't play that round match in the alotted time it's a forfeit. So you could put 5 days.

So it's conceivable that you could could login and play your 5th, 6th and 7th game and the person who you are supposed to play in game number 1 doesn't show up within the first 5 days.

Yes, a fantasy draft is the same as picking a team in a fantasy league. The order would be completely random and you take turns and build your team. I understand what you are saying about picking an NBA team and people going straight for the dominate teams. Personally i never pick those teams because i like a bit of a challenge. We'll see what the masses say because i don't mind either way.

Righto...these are more complicated than first thought ey! Ah well, I'm happy to be in :)

Don't mind if we go fantasy draft or not, but tend to lean towards not cause part of the thing I love about NBA games is the simulated real-ness.

How long wouyld the games be? 6min quarters or the full 12?

Playoffs, not fussed on how many games in the series :)

How do trades work and such? All normal? And is it like Association where you have salary caps and contracts and such?

True. I would pick Heat no matter what though.

And can you just like push me to first pick so I can gt Lebron or Kobe hahaha. nah, I would probabaly pick Wade.

I would love to do this. Great idea man. I wanna own!

Quarter length is up for discussion, we can set it at whatever. I currently play 8 min quarters in My Player and i'm pretty happy to play whatever. I do think that the default 5 mins is too short though.

Trades can be turned on. Salaryc cap restraints will still be effective. I'm currently looking into what extra features are available in terms of managing your team in online season mode.

I'll be online on the Playsation between 4:30 and 9 later so can check it out also :) Maybe have a game too.

I had a look online and once we create a league all information will be linked to on our own league webpage.

Take a look at this one as an example ---> 2K Sports

Has the results of everygame including all boxscores and breakdowns, Player of the Games, Stats leaderboards, trades that have been completed etc etc. Looks very good.

little info for you all

2k have majorly stuffed the leagues up this year

as long as you play with default rosters, no trades and dont adjust the starting lineups it will work.

if you do any of the above the league will break and then you'll be waiting til jan sometime to start playing again

found this out with the league ive been playing in

Dang...no altering starters? But I want Jason Smith and Kyle Korver starting together! (After a trade of course ;) )

Looks good. Hope we can work around the issue.

Id be keen except that for some reason when I try and play online it lets me do everything until the game is about to start then stops and tells me to read online FAQs....not that I ever have.

Yeah i'd be up for it... i'd reckon 8 min qtrs, fantasy draft and 3 game series in playoffs

OK, here is another question. Small league with about 8-10 Aussies or large 30 team league consisting of all the people expressing interest here and about 20 other people joining publicly?

Small league might be easier since we can get in contact on here and such.
