One of baseball collecting’s favorite summertime diversions — Panini America’s Golden Age Baseball — is readying for another entertaining and eclectic run this summer with the June release of 2014 Golden Age Baseball. Once again this season, Panini America is equipping Golden Age with a bevy of baseball legends will mixing in icons from other sports and the worlds of entertainment, politics and American history.

Each hobby box of 2014 Golden Age Baseball will deliver one autograph card and one Museum Age memorabilia card; hobby boxes also will yield one box-topper, including randomly inserted memorabilia versions. The product’s 150-card base set features three unique base parallels (White versions seeded one in 120 packs, 1st 50 numbered to 50 and Black 1/1s). Also returning this year are Golden Age’s popular Mini parallels featuring seven different collectible back versions.


Some of the product’s myriad other highlights include . . .

  • The chase begins anew with seven new collectible Mini backs to pursue, including Hindu Brown, Hindu Red, Croft’s Swiss Milk Cocoa, Smith’s Mello Mint, MONO Brand Blue, MONO Brand Green and Panini logo 1/1s.
  • A packed autograph lineup featuring Historic Signatures (50 subjects), Historic Cuts (four subjects, numbered to 20 or less) and Classic Buyback Autographs (nine subjects).
  • Unique insert sets including Fan Craze (one in 12 packs), Headlines (one in 12 packs), 1913 National (one in 12 packs), Star Stamps (one in 12 packs) and Newsmakers (one in 24 packs).
  • A bevy of box-toppers including 5 by 7 (one in 40 packs), 5 by 7 Memorabilia (numbered to 50 or less), Darby Chocolate Three-Card Panel (one in 60 packs), Hobby Box-Bottom Three-Card Panel (one in 24 packs).
