Official Draft Thread

From ESPN: Our Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Knicks just traded Channing Frye and Steve Francis to Portland for Zach Randolph, Dan Dickau and Jerome James. That would be a nice deal for New York. Hot rumor is Miami may grab DePaul forward Wilson Chandler at No. 20. - 8:36 pm EDT

Geees.... watch out for the Blazers! Now they just have to trade Miles!

Frye is a great player, when healthy!

What a team Portland will have.

Oden, Roy, Aldridge, Frye, Webster etc

The Knicks/blazers trade will be awesome for Mardy Collins, he thieved when given the opportunity, his stocks will rise!

i think that trade will work for both teams.

not much D in new york though.................randolph and curry as your big guys, but a hell of alot of scoring power

Heaps is an understatement! If Starbury gets his game on, Curry and Randolph at the post, Mardy running the point with starbury, and don't forget crawford, Lee and Nate. Awesome looking team.

who is sean williams matty???:p

C from Boston College - good defender avg 5 blks a game

although

Williams was permanently dismissed from the program in January because of an unspecified violation of team rules. Also suspended for the first two games of last season, Williams was arrested in June 2005 for marijuana possession, forcing him to miss the first eight games of the 2005-06

Agreed this is a huge deal for the New York Knicks.

Firstly they get to move one of their 5 point guards.

Secondly they get a shooting threat in the post who can give some space so that Eddy Curry can play in the low post.

Zach Randolph is a dead set scorer and Eddy Curry will only get better. Marbury will therefore be back at his best this upcoming season and Jamal Crawford will finally get to fit in at the 2 spot.

David Lee for defense & hustle off the bench, all is bright.

However there is a lack of rebounding + shot-blocking in NY right now, Randolph and Curry are both 80% scoring.
