Collecting a team is a good idea mate especially when you're going to open boxes. Reason being even if you get a bad box you'll still end up with cards to add to the PC, rather than just collecting one player which you may not get any of and just end up selling the cards for a fraction of the cost of the box - which isn't what collecting is about IMO. Can't really go wrong with GSW, there isn't many bad players on that team and I believe they will remain popular for a while yet. You'll also get some really good past GSW players in recent releases like Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and even Rick Barry.
With regards to boxes to break, the last few years of Select (especially this year) have been really popular but are becoming harder to get. Prizm is similar and cheaper and you can get 13-14 really cheap and still have the chance at hitting 1 of 1's. Crusade is also good value with plenty of inserts and I really like the last 2 years of Innovation for good value and something a bit different.
