League or AFL

and the truth will come out...im betting AFL gets AT LEAST double NRL votes.
seriously, comparing AFL to league is like comparing basketball to netball. basketball and afl are free flowing, creative, exciting, unpredictable sports. league and netball are boring, structured, predictable games with little room for creativity, flair, pure athleticism.

I used to be a big league fan but in 1995 went to a Sydney Swans game and got hooked!
I've managed a few trips to Melbourne to watch the Swans play but one of the best games I saw was a few years back at the MCG - Collingwood and Essendon. Full house, great atmosphere! I nearly had to separate my 2 mates I was with as one was a Pies supporter and the other a bombers fan.
My only regret was not going to Melbourne for the GF last year to see the Swans win...the problem was I had my engagement party on the same day as the GF.......talk about poor planning!!!

this one is a no-brainer.
AFL is by far the superior game, much more exciting and skillful.
I h8te how leauge fans say AFL is soft because that is a false declaration, a leauge field is like 100m and rectangular shaped and with AFL you have double the distance and a wider field because it is oval shaped. IN NRL all you do is run for the hit ups, tackle and pass, with AFL you have much more space and it is much harder to tackle and tackling involves alot more skill.
The only good leauge to watch is the state of origen which is a great series to get wasted and enjoy a real physical match. And AFL also has gaelic which is also better than leauge

I was brought up on AFL and played it as a kid.(Lets go the BOMBERS)
But when I got older I started to play League,I found out that I was a much better League player then I was a Footy player.Mind you being 5ft 10in and 110kg with half Kiwi and Aussie blood in me helps as well.But I dislocated my left knee twice last year and tore the tendinse in my left knee as well.So that was the end of my Rugby playing days,it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do was give the game up.(makes me want to cry just talking about it)

put AFL up against Union and you might get a more fair fight..i love Union (not that i understand it lol) but its fun to watch much more free flowing than league...
but AFL & basketball are the 2 best sports available (and cricket of course!)

A.F.L hands down the skill factor and the excitment is second to none and we kick the ball for a start and yes i know they kick it in mobile wrestling but once every 5 minutes doesnt count .And a scrum please!! 1 guy shoving 2 guys up 3 guys ***holes you dont need skill or brains to play Rugby!
afl for me. i played at half time of couple of afl games when i was younger and got to meet the players.the atmosphere was great and now i still play as a paid player and coach. preffer soccer though(more skill) and watched a game in scotland between glasgow rangers and valencia. 55,000 people and you had to yell to talk to the person next to you. that was some atmosphere
