Give it up for Steve Nash and Jason Kidd

No way is Nash better than stockton [-X

Nash and Kidd are both top 5 all time PGs probably, but no way is Nash better than stockton

So scotty, youre a dumbarse ;) :lol: =D>

I think Isiah Thomas is the greatest guard ever. ;)

Speaking of Nash. The first time I saw him play was for Canada against the Aussies in the Sydney Olympics.
He almost singlehandedly won the game for the maple leafs. You could tell he was special, he was too hot even for Gaze to guard.

Stockton = no championships

Magic = 5 championships

Isaiah = 2 Championships

Nash will hopefully get one in the next two years then he'll be up there

I also agree with an earlier statement, stockton had Malone scoring 30ppg for many seasons where Nash had made players like Diaw, Bell, Q-Rich etc.. into great scorers

cmon.. parkingson/darren lucas/billy mcaffrey where too quick for gaze to gaurd..

If Nash can make players like pat burke/house/diaw/marion/k. thomas/t. thomas play better than they're capable of then my hats of to Nash...

Stockton.. he was very very good.. not flashy, but did the job..

Though stockton made Karl Malone who he is.. stockton didnt want the limelight and that makes him great

As a Bulls fan, he was always one to watch.. that pass to malone game 5 i think it was in 1997 was the greatest pass ever.. right over a leaping jordans head and into the mailmans delivery basket..

Stockton did indeed have the chance to draw the series in game 6 of the 1998 finals series, but it rattled out and his dream was over..

"sorry had to share some memories of the great man"

they are without a doubt best point guards at the moment....

well doen Kidd and Nash.. i think they proved some dishing out skills which keep the game alive....

hope to see more from deron williams, tj ford, jameer nelson and of course mr. well-established chris paul on the list.

another tidbit to consider is the steals: if i remember correctly, johnny is the ALL TIME leader in steals. last time nashy or kidd made a steal they would have had long hair ;)

Pretty sure magic is the greatest PG of alltime.
He dominated the league from the first game.

Nash and Kidd are top10 alltime Pg's but theres no need to run your mouth for them just cause of one game.
I mean magic filled in at center in one nba finals game and owned the game to win the title, this is a regular season game between 2 teams that don't play D.

Magic also had a 3D in his first ever playoff game (rookie as well) only person to ever do that . Bron did it last year to throw is name on that record to but he wasn't a rookie.

Nash yes, but not Kidd, kidd racks up a lot of steals

13th all time in total Steals
13th all time in SPG (Stockton is 9th)

8 time all-defensive team member

Wasnt Magic NOT a PG? He just handled the ball - AKA Lebron James does the same thing.

Magic was great, that's for sure, hence him getting his Championships, etc, etc, which DOES put him ahead of Nash & Kidd.

Also, filling in at Center that game, didnt make him a Center, he just played that position at opening Tip. He didnt defend against the biggest guy....

Someone do me a favour and post up the Career stats for Kidd, Nash & Stockton. I think we all need to see em.

JASON KIDD: 866games, 14.6ppg, 9.2apg, 6.5rpg, 2.0spg, 7 time all-star
JOHN STOCKTON: 1504games, 13.1ppg, 10.5apg, 2.7rpg, 2.2spg, 10 time all-star
STEVE NASH: 703games, 13.5ppg, 7.1apg, 2.8rpg, 0.8spg, 4 time all-star

And Magic *was* a true PG, not a point forward ala LeBron, he was just 6-9 so towered over all other PGs

Magic is the best PG i have ever seen (cause he could just about play any position on the floor if required to do so), with a average of around 11 apg. But trying to pick who is better between Stockton, Nash & Kidd, you are just splitting hairs.

I wasn't saying he was a center(just for that 1 game when Kareem was injured) I said he was a pg through his career, I was just using that to say you can't call some the greatest PG of alltime because of one game.
Magic has had a heap of better games then Yesterdays game. That finals fill in at C game would rate better then Yesterdays game.
