Flash Gordon auto

This post brought this to mind from the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century book, 1st Edition,
Foreword by Buster Crabbe; the only actor to portray both Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon and a 40 year fan.
He appeared in the original Black and White 1920's and 1930s serials and also had a cameo in the TV series decades later. This forward runs for several pages and tells a story of Buck Rogers as experienced by someone who grew up with it. It also reveals little known facts about Buster himself, e.g. that he was also a contender for the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam. (Want to know what for - buy the book)
