Eddy Curry... Seriously is there a worse example of a "Pro" or an "Athlete"

Its a pity, he could actually play some ok ball......... I'm sure i remember actually see him on court at some stage.....

Yeah he could...and it's not like he went all drugs or anything like that, he simply got lazy and became a fat bum...what a waste.

"I'm not even sure how you can get lapped in a cone drill" - comment of the day! He was a monster inside scoring presence - but this tends to happen to guys who land their monster payday contract. Isiah Thomas - great player - **** GM......

Surely u jest.....At his peak he hit the odd shot inside - a monster he was not. But he certainly is now - a cookie monster.

He said he stayed in New York for two months last spring but chose to work out on his own over the summer, with a trainer in Ocean City, N.J.

DAMN! Who was his trainer? Ronald McDonald?!

yeh pretty harsh... shows what one persons perspective can circulate... check this
Knicks' Curry out at least 4-6 weeks with hamstring injury | NBA.com

"Curry was hospitalized with an illness on the eve of training camp two years ago and tore a calf muscle on the opening day of practices last season. He never recovered to regain a spot in the rotation, playing in just 10 games over those two seasons."
and MRI confirmed injury training camp this season.... yeh he might be lazy but gee gotta wonder.... dont let the facts get in the way of a good story huh!

Lazy bastard doesnt deserve a spot on anyone's roster...honestly I thought his contract run out last year, unluckly for the Knicks it hasn't. Don't think Curry will be too high on any clubs list at the end of the year.

They should buy him out.....when u come in fat and pull a hammy,a year after u came in fat and injured yourself....

OMFG I didn't know he signed a 6yr 56mil deal, wtf is going on??????

Haha yeah the year he crossed from the Bulls to the Knicks!

He got injured on the 1st day of training camp...most likely because the moron came in 20 pounds heavier than last year and simply too far overweight for his body to handle the sudden exercise they made him finally do! The facts are there, he said he worked out over summer, but anyone who works out over summer doesn't gain 20 pounds. The lazy bastard sat on his ass all summer eating then comes to training camp and expects his body to be fine...then pulls a Hammy. The article I posted is reporting on his summer, not on his injury which happened upon his return.

Never let the facts be hidden behind excuses such as injuries that were caused by the actual problem...he's a lazy, unprofessional chump whom cashed in and decided that was enough for him.

which is of course your opinion... my opinion is id rather see 2 sides of the story :)

Curry is nothing but a complete waster. He's the new Benoit Benjamin - talented (although not that talented - just big) but has no desire to play hard or get better. As Nenjabin said - 6 years - $56 million. Brentus777 - u can listen to his side of the story but I don't need to.

I've seen 2 sides to the story. He got injured...because he didn't put in any effort over summer to get fit let alone better and when he came back to actually something other than the couch, his body/hamstring couldn't handle it and boom, injury. Read the article, he was doing the drills, meaning he was uninjured and able, but then got injured. As the article says, "I'm not even sure how you get lapped in a cone drill". What other side of the story are you looking for? Both sides are there and plain to see. He got his payday, and then stopped working. He didn't need to get better so he stopped working. He had a huge contract so assumed he'd be getting court time no matter, so stopped working. All of this lead to him continually reporting to training camp overweight and unfit and therefore he was on the outer down the end of the bench.

Yes he's had injuries, but I'm pretty sure that I would pull something/get injured if I rocked up to an NBA training camp at my current fitness level (which before any comments come isn't poor, I'm 71kgs at 5'11 and have always been lean and athletic) let alone with an extra foot of height and close to double my current weight!

So, what is this other side of the story?
