Rose is a Machine!!!! I think they are staring to find their defensive rythm again!! Deng was quiet offensivley as was Boozer... If they come alove aswell as Rose we should be right up there. I still beleive we will get past Atlanta, to me it just a matter of if it will be in 5 or 6 games!

The Bench always, always play less in the playoffs. What Jimbo said was right on the money! Dom, even back in the 90's Championships by the Bulls you'll find all bar the 6th and maybe the 7th man still played a lot less minutes then they did in the regular season!m There is no worry about Burning out the players, it's all or none!

A problem I have at the moment, if Boozer isbattling all these injuries, why not play Taj more? He is reliable as hell and along side Noah with Rose feeding him can get the job done on the offense end aswell as playing good D and cleaning the boards!

Haha...... watched this game & it was awesome. First quarter was very amusing with Rose & Teague both going at it. Teague played great & Rose was just mad.... props to Noah for his work on the off. boards & to Gibson too who provided a lot off of the bench.

teague has been solid for atlanta now that he's getting extended minutes, look for him to be the starting point guard permanently for the hawks at the start of next season

i was meaning rose won the game. only gibson and korver made any real scoring contribution

not saying they didnt play well. just saying apart from the 40 odd from rose there wasnt anything else really to talk about

WOW think i remember someone saying the bench was basically mute in playoffs however the Bulls bench scored 34 yesterday and the Mavs bench today scored a massive 86. One could also say Jamal Crawford is also Atlanta's most important player and where does he start................ yes that's right............ the bench. The bench is only not important for sides who don't have one aka Miami, because if the stars don't win Miami the game no one will.

Heath, Crawford has started this series.... all 3 games because Hinrich is out.

He has more impact off the bench in spurts rather then playing big minutes, he's an explosive scorer that can rack them up quickly.

You really can't compare Dallas' bench to almost anyone else's in the league!! They have at least 2 or 3 guys that could start at 20+ clubs around the league!!!!!

Back onto Bulls vs Hawks.... I think if the Bulls get game 4 today that'll be it! They'll go home and secure it at the United center!!!
We really need Boozer to start producing and if he has these injuries and they are slowing him down, then he needs to man up and let it be known he's struggling so they can give Taj a extended run, he can produce at both ends and is a good rebounder! I'd rather have a young and fit Gibson out their hustling then an injured Boozer just going through the paces!!

You said it all there really and backed up my view. Also you can't go excusing one sides bench from another etc for exceptional circumstances because the reason the Mavs are in the conference finals is their depth! Same with the Bulls. Our bench has been critical most times during this playoffs. To dismiss benches in playoffs simply because they play less minutes is absurd. Every player has a role to play on a team and it is important that every player plays that role well. If one or two start to go missing it really hurts the side. I remeber a certain bench player being very important to a bulls championship in the 90s. Had Steve Kerr not hit that shot we may have only had 5 rings
No side I can remember has won a championship without a solid bench who was able to play that 10-20mins and at least break even with the other side.
You got to give some love to the Bench

Basically my whole argument is that the Bench won't play the minutes they would play during the reg season, not that they wouldn't have the impact! Of course they need that impact, but they need it in quicker bursts during a playoff run. You weren't the orginal member I was refering to in my original quote and whole heartedly agree with you. I mean the stars get paid the big bucks for a reason. Just saying people are quick to dismiss the bench and their worth too quickly when you have the Roses, Kobes, Dirks, James of this world lighting it up.
