Bulls v Hawks 2011 Playoffs Second Round Thread **SPOILERS INSIDE**

This surprised me....... how did the Hawks get so good all of a sudden? Going from the last few years they usually just fall apart come playoffs, this year it's totally different!

Has Rose's ankle been affecting him & his ability to get to the basket at all? Didn't catch much of the game.

The newly named MVP needs to step up if the Bulls are to Win this series.....Joe Johnson was on FIRE 5-6 from 3PT i believe?Crawford is playing out of his skin these playoffs...As always Boozer goes missing when it counts the most, granted he is injured but he needs to step up his game.....or the Hawks will run away with it!!

Good to see Teague gets some minutes on Rose. If there is anyone in the league thats going to match him for speed, its teague. Crawford is a shooter alright, just look at his last ten games. Really great showing from him. The Bulls were just caught off guard in my opinion. They need to knuckle down and play some decent defense on Johnson.

Bulls take it. Both teams couldn't hit a shot shooting in the 30s for FG%. Not much better from Rose. He's still in a slump shot like 9/27 or something and had 8 TO's. Good for Bulls to get at least 1 game at home, but Rose's play is still in question. If the Hawks regain touch next game at home the Bulls should worry.

bulls were lucky that the hawks were shooting worse than a drunken cowboy

39% fg doesnt normally mean you win the game

they did well defending johnson and crawford

and absolutely smashed em in rebounds

quite impressed with jeff teague's play.

over 80 over the 2 games and only 1 turnover

well back to atlanta

Not only is Rose off a bit at the moment but where the F@%# IS BOOZER!?!? Can someone remind him we are in the playoffs and he is not in Utah anymore...? His play is really starting to pi$$ me off! I though the change in the off season would do the world of good for him but suddenly he's back to dissapearing when it counts!!!!!

Bulls need to lift their offence! If they can defend the likes of JJ and Crawford like they did today for the remainder of the series they'll be heading in the right direction even if they can only get their offense going in spits and spats!! Come on Chicago, lets get it together!!!

All in all a solid win. Bulls main worry is the health of Rose and Boozer. Whilst Rose may say he is OK, coach T has been quoted in saying he wouldn't tell you if he wasn't. Shooting was poor by both teams, but bulls D was great once again. The shooting will eventually come so as long as the D stays solid the rest of the series shouldn't be a worry. Rose could have done without the TO's but when you handle the ball so much and are the go to man those games will happen. He also had 10 dimes so was more than influential. I would say Hawks may win another game but I know the bulls hold no fears in Atlanta. Bulls should now take this out 4-2.

Yes Boozer has been poor but he has been playing injured the whole playoffs. Even if its something simple, unless you are elite, it can really mess up your game.

I am surprised how little the bench has been used. During the regular season when the starting 5 were in a slump the bench would lift them.

But looking at all the teams they seem to be under utilising their benches in the play offs.

Welcome to Boozer in the playoffs!!

Seriously..... he knows it's the playoffs, that means it's time to disappear! ;)

This is what happens in the playoffs normally though, and one of the major arguments Heat fans and analysts gave for the Heat being better in the playoffs.

The bench ALWAYS shortens in the playoffs because players are going all out, Coaches are going to let their stars play 40+ minutes if they have to. Obviously in the regular season you want preservation for the rest of the season and playoffs.

Hence teams like the Bulls with great depth, that factor gets negated significantly in the playoffs. A good rotation and a few solid bench players is a necessity for a championship team, but most teams won't need to go deeper than 9, so it's not necessary to be 10-12 deep. Make no doubt about it, stars win playoff series.

Bench mob did good tonight! and so did DRose! career high for points in the playoffs! :) :)

like I said earlier, i as surprised how little the bench played so far. They gone back to their regular season formula (letting the bench play more than 5mins) and bench performed great.

Reminds me of the first Bulls Championship, Bulls v Lakers when Pippen was having a bad night and jordan and average one, the bench stepped up to help the team out.
