Coolz, You need to watch out here. A few aussies will defend one another even if they are guilty of committing a crime. Or so it seems.

There are so many people here willing to forgive, stick up for and believe Steve. Its pretty clear steve took Bolli for a ride. He took his money and cards. He has even admitted to it. Here are the facts..

Steve owes 2 people money/cards.. Bolli and Cherry.
Steve has admitted it privately that he owes both parties.
Steve will not respond here for obvious reasons that he has pulled a dirty move in a trade.

Yet you have people who still think he is honest, will back him up and stand up for him. If they are so strong to the words of him like hsv006, then maybe these people should vouch for the guy prior to the trade and cough up if the guy scams. I mean if you are so sure that he didnt pull a stunt here to rip of Bolli, why dont you give up some money as collateral to a trade just incase Steve becomes flight risk again? Im sure you wouldnt, so its a moot point.

But in general. The guy clearly scammed Bolli big time. The fact that he still hasnt resolved this after so many months makes it even worse. Id expect Steve to pay up Bolli .....plus interest for making him wait. A criminal is a criminal at the end of the day. Nothing can change that. Reform is an excuse to those who do bad things. Once a criminal, always a criminal.

If I was Bolli, I wouldnt hold back any longer. Pursue all actions immediately. Youve waited too long. In my opinion Steve is buying time to put you on the chase again. Its clear he has many cards he can move. He chooses not to. Ill gladly buy his PMG collection and send the money to give him to pay you back. But im sure "its not for sale". Id ask him to even pay you back anything (His collection) just as long as you get back something.

A little confused, just read someone mentioned that Steve wouldn't sell his pmg pc? He rescently sold off a large amounts of greens on eBay, I even bought one....

I've been watching this thread, and I'll just chime in my opinion
Seems like a bunch of you are still defending the wrong...putting the blame on Bolli because he didn't post the deal...
Defending the wrong because you're friends with him...etc

People are not defending what Steve has done.... Like me, they are simply wondering why Bolli wouldn't have protected himself to THE FULLEST that he could for such a large transaction. I get along with a lot of the guys really well here and interact with a few outside of the website but for that sort of money I would have done everything I could have to protect MY MONEY! Unfortunately Bolli trusted Steve too much, Im sorry to sound blunt but after the first email of the hard sell on how much of a friend he was, alarm bells would have rung for me instantly! Steve is a great guy, he's fked up big time and lets just hope he rights his wrong for Bolli's sake.

And yes, adding your opinion after, what 3 weeks or more, is trolling just trying to stir the pot......

Help me out guys

I remember reading somewhere that the original transaction was meant to be kept very "private" and that there was no thread set up anyway including this site. So why is it when the transaction turns sour, all of a sudden, this transaction gets public across many hobby sites including OCT. Now, I have got a soap opera happening here and some members are at each others throat for a transaction of which they have absolutely no involvement in. Again, may be what Cherry and Steve by not responding are doing the right thing as the whole transaction was meant to be private in the first place. Any thoughts?

It's pretty simple isn't it? The deal was private and when Bolli had tried everything he could to get Steve to come through he went public to try and force his hand and to try and get help... Which ANYONE in the same situation would have done!!! I'll stress again, for about the 10th time, Bolli has been wronged by Steve. The whole situation is just out of hand and no good at all for Bolli! Bolli deserves to come out of this losing nothing at all! Steve needs to finish off his end of the deal ASAP, there is NO other outcome that will even come close to rectifying the problem! Bolli has done the RIGHT things by going public, by contacting admin/mods and by contacting the Federal Police.... But, he could have protected himself more from the start, he could have even lodged the claims and forced Steve to do something about it, but clearly he is a very trusting person and thought he had the friendship with Steve to overcome all of this and get the deal done privately without causing either grief! Is this Bolli's fault?? Not at all, it's human nature to trust someone you befriend no matter what the situation, but when Money is involved I have ALWAYS learnt no matter what that money turns people from Jakyl to Hyde! You have to look after yourself as no one else will when there is money involved!!

I have been reading this thread since inception, as a matter of fact it was interesting reading during my recent holidays and many good points as well as a lot of what can only be described as crap has been posted.

Until Steve speaks up we may never know what his true reasons were for doing what he did and it is also his decision should he chose to speak. And if he does what is to say that he will be believed even if he does tell the truth, whatever that may be.

When things go wrong for people it is usually a culmination of events, someone does not wake up one morning and decide thay will be an a-hole from that point forward

I am not condoning Steve, what he has done is wrong but Bolli also needed to protect himself just as AMJF has mentioned

I think you are right Norm. Its Just more speculation from someone who does not know more than what they have read elsewhere.
Its funny that it has turned into a US v Australia thing While we are on the blame game, Why would bioli trade a card at $2000 bv when it was obviously not worth that much ! sounds like some BS was spoken on both sides.
Some have said "steve should have done his research" and others are saying "Bioli should have covered himself" in the end, both made choices because they thought they could trust the other which was an error made by both parties .... maybe its time to stop the blame game and grow up

1. A new member who has been here for 2 minutes and has absolutely no idea how this hobby, this site or members from this site operate. Therefore your opinions hold about as much weight around here as dirt.

or

2. A member from here or one of the other card sites that knows full well how it all works but is too chickensh.it to post under your regular username.

Bolli was ripped off. Everyone is aware and are looking for Steve. Hopefully Bolli can get something sorted out.
What's the point of continuing to insult each other?

Also I never saw the big PMGs being sold by Steve - so I assume he's still got the Kobe - unless someone can inform me otherwise.

im not new to collecting nor new to the boards. But I find it comical to stand up for those who rip people off. In my opinion steve is just as bad as jrsmith. Low and and definately shady.

Maybe this whole hobby needs to get back to segregation and we only trade and talk amongst nations. Aussies stay here and us members stay elsewhere. Is that what you think should happen since new members shouldnt be allowed to express their opinions? Coolz is a great member over at blowout. Well respected and all he has done is ask questions.

THose who are innocent and honest usually dont hide in the hours when the fingers are pointed at them. Running and going quiet is actually a better notion of guilt than being innocent. If someone was slinging mud at my rep, damn right Id be up in here defending myself. does that not make sense?
