here's a topic for us to ponder over for a while.....

who do you think was the best duo in nba history and why??

jordan & pippen?? stockton & malone?? maybe it's none of these guys??

what do ya reckon.......

ahh cool topic...

robinson and duncan LOL

nah seriously...I might give the edge to stock and malone

while I hated those m****ers, when you look at the rest of the team, you realise they carried them for years and years...pick and roll...that was it!

MJ and Pip were awesome, but they had better role players etc...and Id say like S&M's team work and chemistry get my vote

I'd have to go with the obvious MJ & Pip, but there are heaps to consider.

Shaq & Penny could've been something special
Shaq & Kobe
Shaq & Wade
Malone & Stockton
Magic & Kareem
the list goes on...

new era, i like the amare/nash combo...
im a huge fan of amare and when you have the best player in the world atm throwing you the ball, it only gets easier.

but a few i liked:
MJ/Pippen
Stockton/Malone
Kareem and Magic
Bird and Co. ;)
Shaq and Penny

Think talent is spreading abit more in the league and we are seeing trio's instead of duo's.
Like:
Amare, Nash, Matrix
Jefferson, Kidd, Carter
Arenas, Butler, Jamison
Duncan, Manu, Parker
Hamilton, Billups & either Wallace

cool combos everyone :D i like your Shaq combos best JV.

how about others that were not the best, but were promising
kemp/payton
anderson/coleman

Duncan & The Admiral wasn't a bad one
Drexler & Olajuwon
Just go thru the list of the top 50 of all time, find which ones played together, and the question is answered.

ralph sampson and olajuwon, the original twin towers! carried them to a finals series...

and Barkley, Majerle, and KJ were an awesome trio!

Hey just you forgot:
Zo/Johnson

That one was good for awhile!

and don't forget muggsy!

Ewing/Starks...?
I always hated the knicks and especially Ewing, but I didn't mind Starks - that move against the bulls still sticks in my mind

In that case KG and Marbury was very promising.... damn selfish Marbury wanting way too much money MEH lol

Pippen and MJ hands down, repeat 3-peat in modern day basketball is unheard of!!

Marbury/Garnett was looking so damn tasty but the goose went for the $$
Probably munted both of their chances for rings!

Would have liked to have seen Tmac and Vinsanity for a few more years but Tmac also goosed that up.. Now neither will have ring's fitted.

People will always argue and say there was no room for VC/Tmac on the same team! That's bullsh*t, 2 guys can average 25 shots each who cares!

Those 2 are the closest thing so far to MJ/Pip and they didn't go for it!!

pippen/mj.. 6 rings...

kareem/magic

bird/mchale

kemp/payton

barkley/kj

clyde/hakeem

stockton/malone (though i hate them)

dumars/thomas

penny/shaq

kobe/shaq

wade/shaq

LJ/Zo

Hardaway/Zo

the list goes on...

i'd even put up there rodman/robinson.. because there wasnt many people that could outplay/out rebound those 2.. yes olajuwon got past them , and a few others, but thats because the rockets etc.. outmatched a back court of vinny del negro and a non scoring avery johnson
