Can someone let the weather gods know that it's still supposed to be winter ??

It's hit a new August record of 35.4 degrees C (95F) in Brisbane today and i'm cooling off in the aircon Apparently it's the hottest August day since records were started in the mid 1940's. Previous best was 32.8 which was passed at around 3pm before reaching the peak just before 4pm.

Crazy stuff ..... :shock::shock:

I have gone soft in my old age. At least i'm complaining about my bung knee and having to ride my pushy into a 120km gale force head wind

Same here, take a look at the Melbourne rain radar at the moment!

Normally when it rains the wind dies down but not lately, its been windy as hell and always a head wind on the way home too :-(

Well i'd rather the rain over this crap. The temp did not get below 20.8 last night at my place. It has hit 33.4 max today.

Was it last month in England that they declared it a heatwave when the temp got over 30 degrees for two days straight in summer?

This is crazy and theres more to come. It's going to be a long hot summer!

I think we had a day in the low 20s here last week and everyone was up in arms about it being too warm for this time of year. Not that warm lol. Back to definite winter weather the last few days, though.

You are all a bunch of fluffy cats..

I walkout out of the aircon at work yesterday and thought it was great. No humidity, slight bit of heat. Perfect. Even wound down the windows for the drive home.

yeh not sure whats going on in melb at the moment either... its been windy aaaaaz for about 2-3 weeks now, very abnormal
