Hi guys -

Just wanted to talk a little about a card I own, that I never really realised how tough of a pull it actually was.......

97/98 Upper Deck Game Dated Memorable Moments Foil - Kendall Gill

Stated odds to pull one of these parallels is 1:1,500packs - that's some big odds right there.

I stumbled across an auction for the Jordan in the set while trying to find out more, and noticed the seller states that it's a 30 card set and the odds of pulling the Jordan is 1:45,000packs - which is correct I guess. As part of the auction he show's an article from Beckett of Jordan's top 9 sales at the time of printing. The Game Dated parallel is right there in the top 9 with PMG Green, Rubies, Game Jersey's, Super Rave etc etc.

I'm surprised considering the odds of pulling one of these cards, how rarely they are spoken about, and why they dont seem to be mentioned in the same breath as some of those other high profile 90's high end inserts. The seller seems to share the same sentiments! lol

Anyhow I'm super stoked to have one of these 1:45,000packs pulls in my collection. Never realised what a rarity and gem it truely is :)

Cheers guys :)

It is a pretty sweet looking card and great card for any PC collector. I'm a bit surprised that Jordan isn't listed higher then that being it is that rare.

I think the plain look makes them less desirable to collectors in general but most player collectors know the importance of them and the crazy odd's to pull one.

Yer, one of the truely hidden gems left in the hobby. I've picked up the true Jordan parallel (not the regular base version that many people confuse it with) a few months before, and it is the hardest stated odds for any 90's Jordan card numbered or un-numbered given the set size and scarcity.

so that one on eBay is real?

Yeah the problem has been too many uneducated people listing the common card as one of these just because it says Game Dated on it... I don't see it being worth more than about a quarter of his listing price but it is nice, scarce card

Does the foil version have any indication that its a foil version other than the different surface on front? Not numbered and no special foil label at the back?

I saw some on ebay having a higher price for this common Game Dated cards or am I wrong?

Prime example of a seller not knowing what the proper parallel version is. There isn't any other difference except for the foil treatment.

Sweet score mate.I think Mike (tss501) on here has the MJ from that set,I could be mistaken though,Maybe a Miller ?.
