Come the northen summer of 2008, a new NBA-based fantasy league will commence, this league will be a 28 team keeper league, with complete salary cap and collective bargaining agreement.
This league will be based on the IFBL (International Fantasy Basketball League) that i formed a few seasons ago, and a number of this sites members have been and are currently members of.
The league has a range of new challenging rules and interactive requirements, this league whilst based on the NBA will be ANZUS owned and operated.
The league - UFHL (Universal Fantasy Hoops League) will be a 12 month all year round format, which will commence with 28 teams in the initial season and expand to a maximum of 32 teams over the first three seasons.
Various components of the format include daily roster changes, salary cap management, rookie and expansion drafts as the league progresses as well as the standard free agency and trading periods.
For the first time ever in our formats, we have incorporated a D-League component which will involve a more a detailed salary and roster management component to add to the challenge, whereby each franchise will have a D-League assignment provision.
The league management group is also in the process of creating and formatting a secondary league format, whereby promotion and relegation will be present between our Premier League and Developmental League which will commence likely in our second season.
The rules are detailed, challenging and require active, committed and knowledgable owners, and with the view to commencing in April/May 2008 we are seeking interested parties who may have an interest in partaking in the league to contact us via email and we will forward the rules through for your perusal.
