the dees got gold from this years draw.
think first 4 games at the G.
First game of the AFL SEASON is played between the dees and saints.
play MCG 12 times
travel to Brissy, Sydney, Adelaide once (thankyou), and perth twice.
im very happy with the draw.
Who cares about those colliwobbles anyway?
 
i don't know why people complain about the draw that their team gets, cause at the end of the day if your team makes the finals no really mentions the draw your team got, look at all the interstate teams they just about travel every 2nd week thats not really fair. The draw will never be fair untill every team plays each other twice. I will admit Collingwood gets what looks to be a very good draw, but at the end of the season every team puts in a wish list to the AFL on which team they most want to play and most teams want to play Collingwood twice cause they make more money playing Collingwood cause they draw bigger crowds (fact). Sen (which is a all sports radio station in Melbourne) interviewed someone from the AFL headquaters who over looks the AFL draw and he said that the reason Collingwood gets a good draw (or plays in melbourne the most) is because most AFL teams requests in their wish list to play Collingwood twice. Not Collingwoods fault that just about every team wants to play them twice. Collingwood playing more Vic clubs twice is better for Vic clubs cause it means they (Vic teams) will make more money cause they always get more people to the game, which means more money for them. Just about every non victorian club makes more money than any Vic club.

The draw wont make a difference to Collingwood in the end, they wont be winning a grand final in the next couple of years anyway and it will be interstate teams or possibly st.kilda or on the outside chance western Bulldogs that will win the GF, imo.
 
I am not complaining about the draw my team got...........you might like to read what I wrote again.

I am complaining that people like Paul Gough write thing like it's the fairest draw ever and it quite simply isn't and will NEVER be until we all play each other twice !

You make a good point about the Team requests though ;)
 
one of the reasons why the Pies play so much in Vic is because we draw BIG crowds, its a fact and therefore more revenue for the AFL and our opponents so stop the whining and moaning!!! :)

richo i didn't mean you where complaining, but i am mean in general. If you get the chance to listen to SEN (i think you can listen to the radio station over the net, really good sports station and they talk about all types of sports 24/7) there where alot of people complaining about the draw on there.
