2011 NBA FINALS - Dallas v Miami - SPOILERS within!

There is no way in hell that any of the big 3 will be traded next season. All are very close mates and not one of their egos is small enough to take the fall. To me they will get their small role players around them and I have no doubt these 3 will win a ring or two but they will just have learn how to play together and who's role is what. To me it seemed, especially in the last 3 games, none of them knew who was supposed to take the winning shots or take over a game. It seemed if they all stood back and were waiting for the other to do it. One thing is for sure they will need a big C. I think they have a PG in chalmers. This series just proved to me he can really be that man. Bibby will be gone and so will house, howard, dampier and a whole heap of no names.
I say a huge congrats to Bosh. Probably the lesser of the big 3 but he was most consistent out of all of them throughout the playoffs from most of the time limited opportunities. However whilst Bosh is their PF I think Miami will always struggle against teams with a dominant PF like Dirk as Bosh just isn't that good on the defensive end. A big C will help this though, but who do you go for???

Free agent centers will include Nene, Chuck Hayes, DeAndre Jordan, Ryan Hollins, Marc Gasol, , Greg Oden, Sam Dalembert, Tim Duncan and Tyson Chandler.

Best of the bunch clearly Nene, Gasol and Tyson - but not enough money for them clearly.

Dalembert is the guy apparently. Rumors are Heat have been interested in him for a while, and he is interested in the Heat as he's a 10 year vet who has barely played in the playoffs, and also likes Miami because it is the closest US city (I read this somewhere) to his native Haiti and has community links as well.

I'd be happy to take him. He's a legit 6'11" and has a career average of 1.9 BPG as well as 8.3 RPG in only 26 MPG.

Basically he can block shots as well as, if not better than Joel Anthony, and he's bigger so he doesn't get mismatched. Also he's not a great scorer but if you throw it to him and he's around the rim he'll put it in, as opposed to having Anthony on the floor and defense doubling off of him.

congrats to the mavs!! glad JKidd got a ring... terry was flat out balling the last 2 games, Lebron should remove the "King James" nickname.... King of what?? not showing up when it counts? call me a hater, but Lebron has no excuses this time....

a pretty selfish postgame statement too if anyone didnt see it

i cant here the audio lol. thats how **** the sound quality is. all i could here is the guy recording spazing out.

Yay Mavs! Woo hoo! 1 to 9 payout odds for exact game prediction 4-2 win! Nice little $1k win there :)

Please lighten up my day people. Want some Lebron jokes :(

What's the difference between LeBron James & Saturn? They're both full of gas but Saturn has rings.

Lebron James is quitting basketball to join the NHL. He should be wildly successful because in the NHL they only play 3 periods.

City of Dallas announced tomorrow is Lebron James day. Everyone gets to leave work 12 minutes early.

Dwayne Wade didn't have his wallet on him and asked LBJ for a dollar. James gave him three quarters.

Apple announced the new "King James" version of the iPhone......it has no rings, only vibrates!

Better? :p

Lebron said something like this:

"Cause at the end of the day, all the people that is rootin' on me to fail....umm you know at the end of the day you know they gotta wake up tomorrow and have the same life they had.....umm before they woke up today, they'll have the same personal problems they had today! and you know I'm goin' continue to live the life i want to live and continue to do the things I wanna do" = Jerk!

I got no personal problems Lebron. I got 4 kids and a hot wife. Oh and also, my basketball team, the Earnscleugh Hawks WON A CHAMPIONSHIP LAST YEAR!!:D:D:lol:

I was excited to see the Heat at the start of the year. By the end of it I was actively rooting against them, especially Wade and the way he has behaved.

Jimbo - commiserations - I feel your pain from last year and the C's - however there's no denying u thought they'd win this series. At 2-2 you weren't worried remember?? Props to coach Jim Carrey putting Barea into the starting lineup - that turned the series....

Dalembert would be a great addition and makes sense.

Very happy that all the Mavs vets have won a ring, even Peja gets one!!! Caron Butler will be back next year too.....that team ain't finished....

I think Miami only need a couple of small changes, I said when they signed they did'nt need Bosh, coulda got 2 really solid defensive bigs instead, but now they've got him I don't think they'll trade him. This team should still get ALOT of confidence out of this year, they went through the East with ease and lost to a solid, deep Mavs team that wanted it soooo bad. I thought Miami just lost confidence in themselves a bit. They will be in it again next year. It was a shame to see Lebron wimp out a bit offensively, not sure what the go is there, he shoud've been attacking the rim all game but like he said, you gotta give credit to the Mavs for keeping him out of the paint. I hope next season starts on time. Gonna be very interesting.

Even though I'm a Pacers supporter I love Dirk, Kidd and the Mavericks and just bought one of these hats:

I definitely thought they'd win this series - and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. After a convincing Game 1 win, and then collapsing in Game 2. It clearly looked like if the Heat were to turn it on, and sustain it down the stretch as they had against Boston and Chicago, they would be taking this.

Unfortunately they didn't turn it on (LeBron) and didn't sustain it down the stretch (dropped G2 & G4 despite being up big in the 4th), and that paid the price.

Seeing the way they have floundered the last few games took a lot of negative energy out of me though, so today I haven't reacted as much as I thought I would. It's just not surprising that we went out this way, after seeing how poorly we played the last 3 games.

All props to the Mavericks, they were the better team, played harder and were coached better. For the Heat it's all about regret and lost opportunities though. This series was there for the taking, and nobody can argue that the Mavericks had the upper hand coming into it or through the first 3 games. But they stepped it up and the Heat didn't respond.

Bring on the off-season, can't wait for the draft and other off-season movements. I love this game :)

Mavs were a team of destiny this playoffs. They really had to pull some crazy comebacks to win games and all the right things kept happening in order for them to win! They were up against a supremely talented and athletic core of Miami and still found ways to execute and win games in the 4th quarter. This wasn't a case of the refs handing them a victory either, they were making tough under pressure shots, and making defensive stops on the other end. Much like the short stacked player who sucked out with their hand dominated until the river, the Mavs were destined to win the Finals no matter how good their opponent was. This Finals was reDIRKulous!!!!!! Woooooohhhhhhh!!!

big congratz to the mavs... was rooting for them in the finals and even though i would have liked lebron to have a ring being the great player that he is.. he still has plenty of time..

Pretty well summed up.....

Was a great series so props to both teams. I think I said at the start Mavs in 6 cos I thought the better team would beat the better individuals. I don't know whether I was totally convinced of that but it ended up happening.
Jimbo - you're right about the coaching - Carlisle was excellent - I didn't consider him in the upper echelon of coaches but I do now, and Spoelstra was more reactive as u said earlier...

Where's that bloke with the Andrew Johns avatar - bagging Dirk about not being clutch?? Dirk has ONLY been clutch - he's been pretty crap the first 3 quarters and MONEY in the 4th - was the same again today - eat your words.....have some sauerkraut and wiener schnitzel with it!!!
