This is really a wake up call for anyone considering a trade/deal with GoMoto.

I think EVERYONE here should know what kind of trader you really are.

Ok, I bought a card off Moto a few days ago, it arrived today, in a TEAM BAG and a BUBBLER MAILER.

I left a Neg, and sent him a PM.

I also contacted Admin to notify them.

I have been asked by Moto to remove the Neg. To which I refuse, it is there for a reason, we have guidelines, and expectations when sending cards.

I'm f-ckin pissed so bad right now as this is a response I get:
Its not a exquisite card to start with and if l put it b/w 2 toploaders it would have scatched the card. Wake up to yourself you little jerk. you bust my nuts for 2 different scans and then spend $10. Dont be petty over.

Now someone tell me I'm wrong, but I'm standing by my decision with the Neg, I think it's warranted, there's absolutely NO reason for a toploader NOT to be used.

Regardless of what sort of card it is, you treat each and every card (when it's going to someone elses' PC) with the same respect you would demand if you were receiving a PC card.

You might think this post is in-appropriate, but it needs to be said.

if you did what scotty said you did, you deserve whatever you get, 30+ transactions, you should know to send them correctly!!!!

Exactly my thoughts, well said.

We have had so many stories of stuff going missing or being mishandled by Australia Post, that you can't take any chances with packing cards.

And Scotty, you are right on the ball with "we have guidelines, and expectations when sending cards"; I thought everyone was happy to abide by those rules, or is only when they are receiving cards?

Chuck the card in a penny sleeve (please dont tell me you dont have any of those hanging around), and then it wont get damaged if you put it between 2 toploaders...

doesnt matter if it cost $10 or $1000 u have to protect the card at all cost becoz most of the time they will do the same as well.

can i ask was the card damaged when you received it?

im not saying that it shouldnt be sent in a top loader, i would send it just out of common sense would save alot of hassles for me if it did get damaged during postage....

Let me explain. The card was protected well. The card itself was one of those thick cards (a little thinner than exquisite). The card was in a teambag with the seal of the bay pulled tightly down to restrict movement of the card. The teambag was then folded again and put into a bubble mailer.

From experience l have noticed when you put a thicker card b/w 2 top loaders in a teambay, it will scratch the surface of the card.

This is why the card was sent like that.

And just for the record – card arrived as described.

I think penny sleeve will solve the issue of sandwich 2 top loaders...

sometimes, i have to send exquisite or thick cards between two normal top loaders, penny sleeve will protect from scratches.....

or even card filler/boards will do the trick....

Am I done crying? Yeah mate, real good way to encourage more deals on here!
F-cking loser. I guess I'm the only one you pissed off, and I actually have the balls to say so.

For the record, yes, there was very slight damage on 2 of the corners. As PMd to Moto initially.

From the scans provided (which are usually what people require prior to making a purchase - so there's no need to get on my case about asking for them), there was only 1 mark on the card in the scans, which I had agreed to purchase on these terms.

But to say it was "well protected" is f-cking joke.

How can you say that a card in a team bag is better than a card in a penny sleeve between toploaders?

All I can say is if you have a deal in the works, or if you're considering one with Moto, to ENSURE YOUR CARD IS PROTECTED.

I have said my piece, and hope that Admin can provide some "education" for this member.

I thought there was a sticky up on how to send cards and thought this sticky said top-loaders are a must?

All new members should read this first before sending cards for their first trade. If not followed and problems arise negative feedback will be left and you will be barred from trading. Its easy to prevent though with a few simple steps.

Firsty its not hard. Simply pack cards the way you would like to receive them yourself. Common sense prevails. You wouldn’t like to receive cards lose in a white envelope so don’t do it to someone else.

The preferred method for a couple of cards in to place them in toploaders. Tape the top of the toploader and mail them in a bubble mailer with ‘photos do not bend’ written on it. Don’t know if that makes a difference but it can’t hurt. It also doesn’t hurt to sandwich toploaders between a decoy card or bits of cardboard to eliminate chaces of the card getting damaged.

For a number of cards where you can’t send all in toploaders the cardboard sandwich works best. Put all the cards in sleeves/toploaders and then pack between the cardboard and tape it all up. Just remember anything rigid taped onto the card is your best friend. This will make no real difference in the cost of postage either as its weighs hardly anything at all. Taping around the sides and top helps stop damage to the corners too. No need to tape it all up super tight that damages the cards, just enough to stop movement in the mailer.

For a large number of commons using a box with it packed so cards can’t move is the best idea.

What will not be tolerated.

Sending in a white plain envelopes.
Sending in card savers not toploaders(card savers are the flimsy version of a toploader)
Sending in just penny sleeves.
Cramming more than one card in a holder designed for only one card

If you are unsure how to pack a card/s for trade ask the other trader how they would like it packed. Its not hard to take initiative and do the right thing and problems will be a thing of the past. While we can’t always prevent bad handling from Aussie post this all goes a long way to preventing it happening. If a buble mailer is crushed with all the above precautions taken its put down to just bad luck.

Anyone wanting to add something post below and I’ll amend it. Bit of a rush job

Here it is!

50% of my cards that I recieve from ebay and here come in between to toploaders that have extra protection around them. I'm not sure why this is a huge deal...

Mavs cock - a response like that shows real class, maybe your the one that needs an education with big words like that.

For those in future that want to deal with me - your more than welcome and expect nothing but total satisfaction.
For those in the past that have dealt with me - you know the service l provide.

I admit - l didn’t think this though well. I should have put a penny sleeve b/w the card and top loader and will do so in future.

Mavs cock, I’m disappointed in the arrogance you have showed in both the pms and this thread. Well done – you brought out the worst in me. I dont think l need to share them with everyone else.

In the mean time - just reflect on what you have said, as l will.

how is this response any "classier" than mavsman's response:-k:-k:-k

i think theflyinggerco got it right before, we have enough issues with australia post, ebay, postage charges etc etc..............surely we can get it right on this site when the rules are so easy and clear to follow

Everyone else manages to send all trades in toploaders....even base cards??

Dont see why your even trying to argue. I am sure Scotty would have copped it on the chin if you had of just admitted you stuffed up.

Good choice on the neg scotty....needless to say i dont think Moto will leave out a toploader again!

Just my $0.02c

Cheers
Benny J
