Brilliance is coming

Looks like breakers are buying at around $400 from the secondary market.

Just about to pay and told me I wasn't logged in . Wouldn't normally pay the premium on ebay but purchased 1 .

I swear i was logged in aswell but apparently i wasn't so i had to log in and do the captcha a couple times aswell but i some how still was able to get my order through

Yes I was definately logged in , you were lucky to get yours if you had to do the captcha a couple of times . Bit hit and miss this system it seems.

The fact that people forgot , I had to write it on my hand to remember, shows many collectors are not too bothered anymore . It is still annoying that the old time collector can't wait and buy as they please . Not sure it will change unless they make more product which will saturate the market and drive down prices or another company comes in and gives more options. It is probably not desirable however . Not sure what the answer is .

got my 2 member boxes stuff up the capta one time and then ask to enter code but soldout at 5.02 no way can people type that fast bloody bots got most of the stock got told it soldout in 30 seconds select is just a joke now how about giving people 5 minutes to check out when you have them in your cart and as we they do not care who buys them these days most buyers only in it to flip just look at ebay 100 of boxes on there

I think it should of been a member only release would that stop the bots or are most members just flippers to now as I said before I think with optimum coming later being a member I should be offered 4 boxes as a member and not be about to buy more in the general sale and double dip just my 2 cents any one else got any idea what select can do because capta do not stop bots anywhere not just at select Even hobby shops just flip all there product now never sell any to the public anymore it just all about the flip and the coin now has been for years now with the other series now I do not think it is going to change ever again being a guy that has been colllecting when everything was in series one even when series two started you still buy it everywhere what about if hall of fame was done now it would be 500 plus a box and sellout in 5 seconds I think it’s sad we are heading in the USA is like 5000 us for 10 cards hobby boxes 1000 plus us it priced me out of the market a long time ago and the way select is heading it just going to be the same it’s not collecting anymore as someone said to me it’s investing Because we no optimum will sellout in 1 minute with a daico rookie coming and the bots will be all over this

I did a fake order earlier and did my captcha but had to re-login when it became available. Had to use after pay as it always blocks my CC
It is sad you had to do that to get boxes I stuffed up my capta one time and got that right tthen asked to enter a six digit code I new I was stuff after that come up never had that happen before why not give us 5 minutes to checkout order if you have not complete order by then boxes go back to be brought by someone else and why have capta select thinks that will stop bot we no it will not if i was doing it I am sorry would of sold To members only and we no select will do nothing being a member I would be happy to buy 4 boxes of optimum as a member and not be able to to double dip and buy 4 more in the general sale

If Select truly wanted to "get the product in as many collectors hands as possible" (which it literally says on their website) they would lower box limits. What's fairly obvious is they've decided there's a cutoff point where the logistical cost of fulfilling so many unique orders just isn't worth the resources required.

A slightly more complicated solution would be to increase SCC membership but actually assess the applications on merit (eg. if no previous purchases on the Select website this would be an automatic decline). With an increased amount of quality SCC memberships then increase the SCC box limit but stipulate they can not also participate in the public sale. What product is left for the public then leave for the bots and Johnny come lately's to fight over.

I know personally I would gladly accept a guaranteed slightly less number of boxes with one postage cost, than to have to fight in the public sale and risk missing out to flippers and those who have been in the hobby for five minutes.
