The Official 2020 TLA NRL Traders thread.

Not a complaint michael, big concern, no footy to watch on tv, means theres nothing worth watching on free to air tv.

North Sydney Bears, Balmain Tigers, Illawarra Steelers, St George Dragons, Western Suburbs Magpies all getting a second coming at my house!

Sorry very boring question - Is there such a thing as a checklist for the 2020 Best & Less Traders release?

Who's the STG Gold card?

Cheers
Ross
Unfortunately the checklist is only printed on the inside of the folder. Each team has 3 base cards, one silver parallel and one gold parallel. I believe Corey Norman is the gold parallel

Single Predictors 2020

At this stage while the season is on hold so is our decision as to what a single predictor will secure you as a collector, when we understand better what is ahead TLA will make a call on this redemption.

All 16 Predictors 2020

If a collector secures all 16 Predictors from Traders 2020 release, TLA will honour this redemption with a 16 Team Card set as per previous years (the set will feature one card for each of the 16 NRL clubs with the 2020 team image) we have decided to increase the addition size to 50 sets and not 20 as outlined on the back of the card. Once you have secured all 16 prediction pls contact TLA and register your set, we will then instruct you to send your set in and we will store it securely until the team sets are release.

just read a release by tla on facebook, regarding PIF CARDS.
I PLAYER FROM EACH TEAM EACH WEEK.
What a piss poor effort to extort money from the collectors especially when some people will be losing there jobs.
Should be ashamed a money grabbing exercise.
REALLY DISSAPOINTED.

Sorry Dave but once again that's not correct.

It's one player per week total, not one from every team. So effectively it's exactly the same as the PIF but they're highlighting one up and coming player instead of the Player that performs best in the round.

I was told It is one young gun player a week...... not per team per week.

TLA Update on Predictors and Player in Focus

Dear All,
With everything now on hold with the 2020 NRL season we have decided to also move with the times, I would also like to clear up some of the rumours out there in relation to the team set of cards if you happen to collect all 16 predictors in 2020.
On that:

Player in Focus 2020
The player in focus release has been extremely popular, with the NRL season now on hold we have decided to move this set into a FUTURE PLAYER in FOCUS release each Monday for a 24 hour sales period, TLA and the NRL will select from the list of NRL Young Guns one player each week to feature as our rising star.

I just posted it after i read it properly,
I still think its disgraceful.
Might be an inventive way of keeping the sales going.
And i doubt whether the nrl has anything to do with it.

How do you post an up and coming player if no games are being played.
Just plain money grabbing

how is it money grabbing?, they came up with a way to keep an initiative alive with a novel idea, every club has a handful of rising stars that emerged at the end of last year or we saw in the trials or the nines or the first two rounds. sure they may not work out long term but its a rising star,,,

No one gets the cash but tla, clubs no, grass roots footy no, charity no, nrl no.

The hefty licence fee they pay each year goes back to the NRL coffers so what you are saying isn't necessarily correct.

While it hasn't been publicised, they have also donated a fair amount of excess stock to charities involved with sick kids as well.

Also they are a business in this to make money, and by releasing 1 card a week this will keep some revenue coming in of which part of this will go back to the NRL.
