Busted a few boxes while Lady Gaga did her thing on Monday. Nothing fantastic, picked up a few Rams base/inserts and some stuff for my Dolphins collecting mate. Gave Contenders a go, but feel it's really not much of a product this time around, especially at the current price and my auto's were pretty ordinary.
Not pictured is a Dolphins Rookie Jersey I gave my mate, and of course it wouldn't be a Panini break without a redemption or three !

Speaking of which, have you ever had any replaced? I've got about 20 that I've been sitting on for a while but I just don't trust Panini. I've heard of some big wins but just as many dud replacements.

Contenders is a crazy price, or at least we're crazy for paying it. Unless you jag a Dak, Zeke, a decent Cracked Ice or some PC mojo, it's a bit of a bust. I'm not too keen on those Sepia variations either.

I might do this next year, just got to resist the temptation to bust before hand.

Haven't done replacements with Panini, but did do some with Topps that I was happy with. To be honest my dealing with Panini haven't gone well, so doubt I'd be happy with the results to be honest. The whole redemption thing is pretty crap actually, as you're never given any updates even though you might have chosen 4 months. I have some over 2 years old I've heard nothing on. I posted on their blog asking how we get updates on the old stuff - I wasn't even narky, was just asking, and of course my post wasn't published...

Agree, Contenders is way overpriced for what it delivers. Sad thing is that beyond the 5 auto's there's nothing else in the box worth anything much at all, as there's no base RC's at all and the inserts are nothing special.

Still it was good to break some NFL product again, I think you just have to be prepared to take a hit on it unless you're extremely lucky...

That sepia is a nice hit! I love contenders has autos of the lesser known guys in there but at the same time its a curse when you bust a box as you certainly can end up with a bunch of crud. I was lucky to hit a dual auto redemption /5 in my box but without it the box was a stinker.

Try these Muzz. I generally contact Christian. Don't always get a reply as such but i have requested replacements of certain players and each time they have been replaced with who i asked for. Still takes a few weeks generally before seeing any action.

Last time i got my /799 Buck Allen replaced with a /299 Le'Veon Bell. Nothing super but its a pc card and much better than the $2 i could of got for the Allen thats for sure.
