Gday guys, i'm not real great these days with the ol PC but my sounds has been playing up for ages on our desktop. The sound is only onboard but sounds robotic kinda. I've updated all drives and all codecs for sound but thinking i'm juts gonna need to buy a sound card and hope that fixes the problem. Anyone know of a good cheap little sound card? We dont play any PC games really so only need something pretty basic. Any help would be great.

Hi there mate you might be in luck I have an old one but its was only used a few times to use to record some old vinyl records, its a portable one, in excellent condition, so I don't have any use for it been packed away for a few years, I see your from Gippsland? so am I maybe we could work something out? let me know thanks

similar thing happened to my work computer even when i tried reinstalling drivers. look in the proprietary audio software (may need to go to control panel to find it r in start menu) and look at the effects. chances are it is set to hall or something similar. if so, turn the effect completely off.
