Can't belive that the bucks would trade knight, he seems like a good guy and has the bucks winning, abit of a team leader, the poor guy can't catch a break, seems to settle in then the team trades him

They traded him as he not signed for next year and due for a big pay day. The bucks must of thought he wouldnt stay so rather ship him for something

True but messing with team chemistry when they have a chance to make the playoffs, don't get me wrong, I think mcw is an awsome pick up for Milwaukee, but I think knight is one of those locker room guys that everyone loves, and gives %200 every night, hard to replace

Carter-Williams, the reigning rookie of the year, has struggled from long range this season. He has the second-worst three-point percentage among those who have taken at least 100 3's (25.6 percent) and the third-lowest effective field goal percentage of anyone taking at least 10 shots per game, according to ESPN's Stats & Information.

Also can't wait to see the Adreian Payne/Anthony Bennett/Rubio/Garnett dynamic.

So much interesting stuff to watch the rest of this season

-The Miami Heat received Goran Dragic and Zoran Dragic from the Phoenix Suns for Danny Granger, Norris Cole, Justin Hamilton, Shawne Williams and two first-round picks, per Wojnarowski.

-The New Orleans Pelicans received Norris Cole from the Heat for John Salmons, per Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

Is Norris Cole going to Phoenix or New Orleans?

Top Google results from headlines search timestamped approx 3 hours ago says Cole to New Orleans.

The suns had to move on a deal with Dragic, I get it..... but WTF??

They had a backlog at the G, with 2 PGs (Dragid and Thomas) and 1 SG pretending to be a PG(Bledsoe), so the move they make is to trade out BOTH of the actual PGs, and receive back another SG pretending to be a PG(Knight)???

OKC made some GREAT moves IMO. Perkins is a cancer and Reggie was walking anyway. It feels like they have a great policy on transparency over there that allows players and coaches to know who is and isn't going to stay. Like Harden, now Jackson, it allows them to actually prepare and make use of the situation. I hope Kanter helps them. He is not a great defender, but will do well alongside the other bigs they have. Augustin is almost enough to make Reggie a wash on his own!

The Bucks did well too IMO. Say what you want about Knight, he has been playing well, but he is not a true PG and the Bucks have been winning because of their defense, not the way Knight has been running the offense. MCW is better to play alongside Parker and Mayo, but Giannis needs to do more with the ball if MCW is going to play facilitator.

Heat pickup is HUGE! Not sure how they managed to trade Cole to Pho for Dragic and also to NO for Salmons though.

Yeah I dunno what Suns are doing, listening to NBA Lockdown podcast now where they're talking about how Suns don't want to lose both Dragic and Thomas and what they can do lol

My 2c on the breakdown of deals:

Bucks:
Ace moves!!! They did REALLY well with MCW, he's an absolute statsheet stuffer, but also on a shitty 76ers team without prime players.
Plumlee is a solid move, instant starter to replace Larry Sanders, and if John Henson comes back strong from his injury, they'll give Bucks some solid depth down low.

76ers:
They've done a lot, yet again. They seem to be a bit of a Fantasy Roster ran by 10yr olds. Give them credit for the amount of draft picks, the clearly are hunting No. 1 again!
They lose points giving up MCW, but Isaiah Cannan can ball, and if they can get McGee some lessons in basketball IQ, they could have a really beefy front-court.

Suns:
Um, puzzled....! I get they had to move Dragic, but why trade away Thomas, too?!? Yeah, they brought in Brandon Knight, but they also brought in Marcus Thornton, Danny Granger and John Salmons. How many SG/SF they need??!! Wonder how long Granger sticks around for? Marshall is being waived, so there's one less G they'll have.

Celts:
Isaiah Thomas, should get the drivers seat first game on the team, IMO. He's played with some solid players, but sadly the Celts lack a true leader. If Thomas can become that leader, and the Celts can land another solid bigman, they'll go places. Not sure on their intentions with Datome and Jarebko, neither are proven players in any form, could be released at some point you might think??

Pistons:
Reggie Jackson wanted out of OKC and got his wish. We saw how well he could perform when Westbrook and Durant were both out, and will clearly be given solid minutes with no other REAL PG in tow.
The Prince is back, and on the cheap, too! Great move for Detroit, the mutual love is there, and if he can provide some decent game off the bench, the Pistons will keep steaming!

Thunder:
Man, did they get strong! DJ, Kanter, Novak & Singler! Singler was slowly finding his way with Pistons, and may provide some important role-playing minutes, but behind the likes of Waiters and Morrow, you question how many minutes he'll see. Kanter is massive, IMO. He's a weak defender, but he's big. He'll fit right in too, now that Ibaka is extending his range, you can just imagine the two sticking back after practise for the 3pt shootout!!
DJ's a solid backup for Westbrook, and Novak is another shooter, but possibly won't see many minutes at all.

Jazz:
A little odd I think. They move out Kanter after he asks for a trade, but they bring in Perkins who'm is strongly believe to be waived, and Grant Jarrett a 6'10" 232lb unproven PF.
Not enough to make any form of difference, IMO. If anything I see Utah losing games not winning. Kanter > Jarrett.

Rockets:
At first I thought this was a couple of decent moves for the Rockets, but many may have thought Isaiah Cannan to be a quality backup PG already, coming in behind Patrick Beverley. Pablo Prigioni isnt quite the player they'd want leading the 2nd stringers? Surely.
KJ McDaniels is very athletic, and has a great all-around game in him, and his defence will certainly be a bonus! But will he see much court time, or will he disappear behind a combination of Harden, Ariza, Smith & Brewer?

Knicks:
Well they've already thrown in the towel weeks/months ago, and it's highly unlikely Alexey Schved will do much for the Knicks.

Heat:
The Dragon!! Heat did really well picking up Dragic, and really, it wasnt for much. They did trade out Norris Cole, but still maintained Mario Chalmers and Napier. Moving Granger was odd, maybe something they had to do for numbers, but he wasnt owed much, which seems like a piece the Suns asked for?

Pelicans:
Norris Cole, Hamilton & Williams. The latter most likely believed to be bought-out shortly. With Holiday out, Cole should fit right in, but Tyreke Evans' multi-positional skills, how many minutes will they both take up from one another.

Nets:
Great move picking up Thaddeus Young, saving themselves almost $3m, too! There really was no need to keep KG on board, under-performing on a $12m contract, and Minny wanted the deal, so why not!

Timberwolves:
At first, I thought it was a money saving exercise, bring in KG, and buy him out, start his retirement, and then look at some sort of staffing position with the Wolves. Perhaps the Wolves might actually keep him going, play out his career where he started 19yrs ago, THEN possibly explore staffing roles?
Many also believed that Kevin Martin was on the out, either as a trade or being waived. A move that neither happened, nor made sense, IMO.

Kings:
Kings picked up Andre Miller, a (very) seasoned vet, who can start as well as he can backup the PG spot, and especially with Darren Collison out injured.

Wizards:
The move for Sessions was pretty decent, a combo PG/SG, instant offence for when Wall takes a seat.

Nuggets:
Nuggets were active, and quite possibly some deals have been done to prepare for next season, ala tanking style. lol.
Moved McGee who fell out of rotation, even after they traded away Mozgov earlier in the season. Afflalo and Gee were two pieces I thought the Nuggets worked hard to get, and considered them important pieces of their team.
They've landed themselves Will Barton, Victor Claver & Thomas Robinson. Robinson the only real favourable piece, but unfortunately for Robinson, he's going to be sticking to his bench role as he'll come off behind the Manimal. A real shame, as he came into the league with a fair bit of hype, but hasnt had that time to show his worth.

Blazers:
Sticking with the Western Conference teams getting better, Portland have added some unreal depth, and instant offence with Afflalo and Gee. Either could start, but most likely suited for the first subbers coming off the bench. With this deal, the Blazers should look to hold on to their top spot in the West.

For those thinking that Knight would leave, he is a restriced FA, meaning Milwaukee has the right to match any offer and can offer more years and money than any other team. All first round picks that see out their first 4 years on their rookie contract end up as restricted free agents.

Can't understand Philly's angle either. Trade a player in MCW for a top 5 protected pick (which will likely fall into the top 5 being from LAL)? Hope that it flows on to the next year unprotected... You can't keep stockpiling picks and then trade those players for future picks... Its the definition of 1 step forward and 2 steps back!
