Is this card rare? why would someone pay this much?

As far as I know, it is just the base card version. I've got one myself before for 99c.

Why would someone pay $10.50 for this card?

It is not a rare card but I think the winner of the card must be missing that card from a set or something... so he went crazy. Good for the seller to have 2 crazy bidders wanting the same card at the same time. You can probably buy the entire Z-Force set with this kind of money.

Another possibility is that the bidder just came out of basketball card collection retirement, he is still in the mind set of the early/mid 90s where prices were really high and people were willing to pay book value for everything.

with so many Jordan cards on the market and auto cards, it makes me wonder; will it always hold its value over time? with so many patches and numbered autos and non numbered 1 of 1 etc... i guess if the demand is still there it always will.

p.s i need to buy a Jordan auto, no pc is complete without it. which is the best to buy? cheers
