Just saw a great game of international football on SBS.
The States' had a surprise 2-0 lead in the first half from their only two shots on goal; both on counter-attacks. Brazil dominated possession and eventually had a goal 40 seconds into the 2nd half, thanks to a wonderful control, turn and strike into the right corner by Luis Fabiano, the tournament's leading scorer.
After once again dominating the half in terms of attacking football, Brazil drew level with 15 minutes left through Fabiano again, and finally in last 10 minutes went ahead 3-2 thanks to a beautifully put away header from Lucio from another corner.
And that was the final result. Brazil deserved champions, though USA did themselves proud.
An entertaining and enjoyable football final.
