what the hell is a live peel u might ask?
many of you will surely remember the mystery inserts in 95/96 Finest. For those that don't here's the deal. in every pack of 95/96 topps finest there was a mystery card. you can tell who the player is by the back of the card, however the front is concealed by a black peel.
to discover what variation you've received you must remove the black peel on the front. there are 3 variations you can recieve in each series, however the variations are different between each of the 2 series'.
i will be peeling an entire set of series 1, the variations are as follows.
Bordered - Odds are 1:1 except for when you receive on of the other 2 variations
Borderless - Odds are 1:24, value is 5x bordered
Borderless Refractor - Odds are 1:96, value is 25x bordered
now the dilemma for me is how to provide an interesting "break" for all viewing. i've a scanner set up, but i havent got an idea on how to provide some anticipation for the break, besides my own interest.
anyone like to suggest a method for my peel?
