Sonny Bill pick-ups

Went to the Roosters / Gold Coast game last night with my son. He had 6 Sonny Bill cards (all different) he was hoping to get signed. We got there quite early & waited outside where the players walk from the Roosters offices down to the stadium & sure enough with 15 minutes of being there Sonny Bill comes out.

He got jumped by a man & woman with 3 Captain America jerseys and an away jersey and then from nowhere "Mick Ennis" appears with a mate and they grabbed him. Meanwhile my son (10 years old by the way) is standing there patiently & respectfully and when Sonny got to him he said, "I'll only sign one" & proceeded to sign the back of the card. He then walked off and ignored other people - my son ran after him & he stopped and signed another before telling him again, "I'm only allowed to sign one".

Anyways here's what we got - I'm disappointed the custom made card got a poor signature on it.

We also had some other cards & Jake Friend and James Maloney were happy to sign (they came out hot on the heels of Sonny-Bill). About 5 minutes after SBW had come out 2 security guards came up & said that we had to move on & that they were there to escort the players as the players were not signing anything today.

So I don't know if SBW was in a bad mood or if the Sig Pigs got him riled up but whatever happened for the first time I can remember at a Roosters game (aside from the 3 who came out very early) the players wouldn't sign.

I know they don't have to & we are invading their personal space however it was disappointing.

Feel your pain mate, I used to get annoyed with players messy scribbles or when they sign in a random spot. Best to catch SBW at Roosters functions and events. I used to attend Broncos gala dinners and luncheons where you pay to attend and they'll sign just about everything you have. They're in a more relaxed atmosphere therefore more relaxed.

Shame that sonny bill plus the other players were like that Sig pigs are ruining it for everyone. I find it ridiculous that a player would ever turn down a 10 year old. But thats the way it is now i suppose

absolutely disgusting behaviour by the players.Come to Newcastle after the game and the Knights will sign anything for anyone.Id have told the steroid pushing wankers posing as security to get stuffed and let the player speak for themselves.

Yeah it sucks that the sig pigs like "Ennis" are ruining it for the true collectors. Plus what really annoys me is the fact the sig pigs don't even have the respect to let a little kid go first to get his signature. I know sometimes sig pigs will use kids to get their autographs for them so players will sign more & other normal nice fans let the kids go first too but you can usually tell the kids that are getting sigs for them.
I'm noticing a lot more players only signing 1 thing or card even if it's 2 different cards but I can't really blame them as it's hard for them to tell who is a genuine collector or seller so they have to be the same to everyone.

Got this done for a mate last weekend while Sonny was in Auckland for the Roosters vs Warriors game. Asked for his full sig, had nothing to lose but got his standard SBW. Looks better then some I've seen tho. Seemed pretty relaxed aswell, got two cards done also.

That one and his triple from last years elite. I had 6 for him to sign but gave me the pen back after getting two done. I collect sbw cards so this set might take awhile to get signed at two at a time.

Nice cards i would love the triple, Ive been to a couple of games with my Daughter we tried to get a couple cards signed so we can frame the 2013 elite cards but the security told us not to approach the players but we where lucky 3 of the players came over and signed ,

Thats why i try and Buy them there are so many people that get things signed and then put straight on ebay i can see why some players dont sign,
