Hi guys,
A guy sold this card (O. Harrington logoman 1/1) to a close friend of mine.
The seller did not tell him that the card is not mint when it was sold!
My friend paid with paypal and had to ask paypal for a refund (US $96).
The seller refused to give back money to my friend. It's still a pp dispute.

Pls let me know guys what's your opinion about this card?
Would you have kept this damaged card, or would you have asked paypal to get back money as well?

I would keep it its a 1/1 for a cheap price if he doesnt want it i think my brother looking for a logoman let me kno in a pm

yeah I would keep a logoman like that for that price too... maybe as someone mention get a little money back... but in my opinion 96 dollars for that card a little damaged is still a pretty good deal...

Just my opinion, but if its not Mint then its really not worth keeping. We arent talking a Jordan RC card here.

yeah that chip on the bottom of the card is pretty noticable, if he didnt state so and you friend isnt happy with it of course he should get a refund... but shouldnt be allowed to keep the card... obviously

Since it's a 1/1 & you ain't gonna be able to get another one I would just leave the guy bad feedback if he refuses to give back a partial refund & be done with it.

Got to agree a 1/1 is a 1/1 regardless of its condition, $96 seams pretty resonable price, plus did the seller actually say it was mint? or was it assumed?

Doesn't matter if he said it was mint or not...... if the seller doesn't say the cards condition the card should be AT LEAST in nrmt-mt condition IMHO.

Ive got to disagree, unless the actual condition is advised never assume anything, its like anything you buy on ebay, the seller should always advised the items condition, new, used, near new, mint etc, but if no condition is advised they the buyer should always ask.

Personally IMHO if the seller doesn't upfront advise an items condiditon they have something to hide anyway.

So you'd be okay with someone listing a card for sale, not stating the card's condition & when you get it it's damaged beyond control..... such as huge creases & dented corners etc.

is it scratched or caked on and able to be gently removed?

it's scratched.

Thx a lot for your opinions.
I agree the card indeed is a 1 of 1 logoman.

As my friend knows I love 1/1 cards he purchased it and forwarded it to me... but the scratch "frightens me" (it's ugly).
I still haven't decided either to keep or not.

People are buttholes until proven otherwise on ebay unfortunately. It never hurts to be sure and ask.

Keep it or sell it on to the guy who offered you $100 for it and leave bad feedback for the guy. He could have at least mentioned in the auction that it was damaged.

I'd get rid of it, those red pen marks ruin it! (lol)

I think u have mis-understood, ofcourse i wouldn't be ok with someone selling me a damaged card, if they listed it as mint and it wasnt mint.

I'm just saying obviously you would never expect a normal person to sell a damaged card, but we all know not everyone thinks logically and 1 persons perception of whats ok compared to another could be different. So you should always check the conditon with the owner and never assume anything.... as the saying goes, never assume because it makes an ass of u and me.

I think you should read what I wrote again...... since you stated that it's basically the buyers fault if they get a damaged card because they failed to ask the condition of the card, I'm asking you if you would be ok with receiving a REALLY damaged card (several creases & bent corners etc) if you had forgot to ask the condition of the card for example? In this case, the seller never listed the condition of the card.

I would be going for a refund because damaged cards aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Get the $$ back and put it towards a better 1/1 card.
