West Coast Eagles crowd. The worst in the AFL.

Pretty sure the WCE fans were not booing LRT in anyway.
The boo's were most likely directed towards the Umpire whom did not stop play initially, then West Coast had a clear run opening up through the middle of the ground from the HB line, play was stopped when the ball got closer to the LRT region of the field, which blocked the run of WCE that was coming up.
No need to generalise or stereotype the whole lot of fans at the ground @ Mico. Don't think anyone likes to see incidents like that occur, opposition or not.

I was at the game and was practically in front of the incident. Being a West Coast supporter myself, this may sound bias, but Matt I know you are a Sydney man so we'll call it even. The booing wasn't directed at LRT but rather the umpires, for stopping play just as a kick was being made that would've cleared the ball right out of the way of LRT's immediate area and the need to call time would not have been needed. The fact that you have called our crowd scum is incredibly insulting. The majority of the WCE crowd are the ol' faithful, people in there 60s and 70s, who have been with the club since the word 'go'. Just because there is a sample of very passionate, and yes at times, a little too passionate supporters out there, it doesn't give you the right to assume the remaining population of WCE supporters are the same. As for all clubs, there is always going to be that one, pardon the french, dickhead in each block who reckons he could take on every player on the ground and come out on top, but I can assure you that while a minority of the crowd were directing boo's at LRT, which is not on, the remaining were simply angry at the call to cut off play right when it was about to be cleared.

Unless it's a Crows game, I don't go to Subiaco while the Eagles are playing anymore, worst crowd in the country. I used to get spat on, beer tipped on me and abused, just for cheering against the Eagles. Very poor form.

Mate you are right.....scum isnt a great word and I apologise......a life form just below plankton may be more of an appropriate description.
For what its worth I was a bit pumped up at the time and probably should have put the ipad down. If it makes it any better I think ive done a shoulder fistpumping from all the goals. I have a mate who flew all the way to Perth to wtach the game and he said some of the behaviour was atrocious.
He ended up in the Swans rooms after the game which he was stoked about.
Again apologies for calling all of the eagles fans scum, ill reserve that for a handful of them.

Kenny Williams is a club legend......aside from some poor health a few years ago, I dont think he has missed many games for teh swans in about 30 years!
Mate its all good. tbh ive even had bad experiences with WCE supporters AND I AM ONE! but it's always the bogans who rock up already having drunk a carton and then they drink a carton more. Great character loves his footy team. Every time I watch j.p Kennedy play for you guys I get a little depressed
If we still had him we'd (hawthorn) be an even better team. To be honest it's one of the main reasons I don't watch the swans.
He's only 23. What were we thinking? Every body knows what the Kennedy name means to hawthorn. Im getting wound up again. Stupid , stupid decision to show him the door.
I can only hope he's traded back to us but I highly doubt it unless there's a clause in his contract?

Kennedy has been unreal this year....best player for the Swans just ahead of Jetta

Awesome, now the West Coast hate has made it's way onto OZCard. I thought Bigfooty was bad but now even a moderator of this site calls us scum. You should've known better Matt, from my dealings with you mate you seemed to be a reasonable, level headed abeit passionate Swans supporter. There are f**kwits at every game, regardless of where, Essendon call Collingwood ferals, Victorians call Adelaide supporters ferals, West Coast call north supporters ferals, seriously everyone is a pack of bloody ferals. The crowd as mentioned above were booing the ump. Maybe a few tossers were booing LRT but let's not go using the pack of scum, feral brush to tar us all. Man this pisses me off. Yep it's so much fun being an Eagles supporter.
