Speak No Evil - 5/10 - not my thing, I hate horror/suspense but the missus wanted to see it and the convincing thing for me was James McEvoy in the trailer. He is brilliant. Captivating. Can’t stand the rest of the cast so just as well I guess! Bravo

Twisters - 7.5/10 (cinema watch)

If you are a fan of the first one, Twister, then definitely check this one out.
Few easter eggs and throwbacks to the original of course and very much worth a watch.
This was awesome on the big screen.
I do see a love and hate reaction with viewer reviews on this one, so if you did not like the first one ...

Deadpool & Wolverine - 8/10

Exactly what you expect from Ryan Reynolds and I did enjoy the chemistry between he and Hugh.
Lots of politically incorrect jokes and I loved it !!!

Longlegs - 6.5/10

If I did not know going in that Nick Cage was in this, then i would not have recognized him.
Very slow to start and the build up was steady, very dark and disturbing as you would expect.
Well worth a watch if you are a fan of horror movies.

Back to the Future - 8.5/10

One of the guys brought in a load of blu ray and dvds he didn't want anymore
What an utter classic this movie is, great cast and just a fun ride of a flick.
Well worth the re-watch value.

Gladiator II - 7/10

moved a bit quick in some parts and had seemingly way long parts that could have been not so long.

still and entertaining watch if there's nothing much on and you're into the Gladiator lore.

Always trips me out to remember they marketed Rambo to kids. There was the cartoon and the action figures.

Hell they even made kids action figures for Starship Troopers, a deeply satirical movie about fascism and the industrial military complex.

Could you imagine if there was a John Wick Saturday morning cartoon.

Different times.

The electric state 7/10

Kept me entertained. Definitely not as bad as some are trying to make out. Think its just the amount it costs to make upsetting people.

This one completely came out of nowhere for me. I'm a fan of Stalenhag's art and enjoyed the Amazon series Tales from the Loop based on one of this other books. So I'm looking forward to checking this out.

Turned this on for 10 minutes and was OUT - terrible. Not for me, thought nothing of it.

Just seen this and thought it had to be a joke. Looked up budget. Not a joke. My god. How?!?! How did this get made for that budget????

I've ranted about movie budgets before, and maintain that Hollywood is just a massive accounting scam at this point. Now with the the increasing trend of media being "written off"

The Warner-Discovery merger lead to a lot of media being written off for tax breaks, which means that content is no longer made available to the public (Final Space ). The most notable was the Batgirl film, which they sunk $90m into. It tested poorly, they got cold feet and shelved it, ultimately writing it off with other unreleased films like Coyote vs. Acme and Scoob! Holiday Haunt.

They since sold Coyote vs. Acme to an independent distributor for supposedly $50m. This is after they rejected offers from Amazon, Netflix and Paramount because they were chasing $80m. Just means they'll have to pay back some of the write down.

EDIT: also interestingly doesn't bode well for Netflix. They sunk $5b into the WWE deal and apparently it hasn't been the success story they were hoping. This in turn has them baulking at taking up the UFC's broadcast rights. ESPN's exclusive negotiating window has expired with no talks taking place, which indicates they're stepping away from the UFC. With WWE and UFC owned by TKO, it was expected Netflix would step right up, but they're apparently none too keen on taking on the entire UFC broadcast deal and would prefer to carry just the major cards, with the smaller events carried by another platform. More so as the UFC is looking to secure a $1b a year deal. Enter Warner-Discovery owned TNT, fresh off of losing the rights to the NBA. What an sordid web we weave!
