R.I.P Ronnie James Dio

Definately sad news for anyone who is a metal lover. I know he has been sick for some time, but it's never good to hear that one of your all time favourite artists has died. RIP \m/

Wendy Dio said on Ronnie's official site:

"Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever."

I only know him through Tenacious D's appreciation of him. So he was credited with "inventing" the devil horns? or popularising it?

Big loss it seems. Must have lived to the max though.

he didn't invent the horns but he definitely brought it from being a cultural thing to a metal thing.

I heard about this through the megadeth website - all of the boys from megadeth posted their own personal tributes on the site. Truly a sad happening for the metal world.
