Ozcards loses a great member

Hi all

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great member.

Ron aka Compo sadly lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday night.

Ron was a regular on the site and loved his cricket cards. He was a true gentleman always willing to help out others.

We have been in touch with the family and instead of sending flowers, it has been suggested we can make a donation to the Cancer Council on behalf of OZCT as a way of showing our respect to Ron and his family.

I know not everyone can make a donation straight away but why not sell a card to make a donation to this fantastic cause - http://www.cancer.org.au/home.htm

and a great way to show what a great community the OZCT community is.

When I think of Ron, I think of my younger days and the genial, helpful blokes that used to own your typical corner store or milk bar.

He was a lovely man and well deserves to have his name adorn the cricket section of OZCT.

Well said mate! Reminds me of my grandfather in so many ways (My granddad is in his 80's)
Something about the older generation that is somewhat lacking in the younger generation.
No offence to the younger generation or my broad generalisation...
Ronald was a top bloke all round, I wish I could have met him in real life.
