NT printing plates causing confusion??

I just did my daily Aminu search on ebay and noticed the listing for 2 plates for an Aminu insignia's card which is not included on the Immaculate check list for 2013-14. I'm wondering if this card was just never included in the production line or never completed, but I would find that odd considering it's not an auto'ed card?

Has anyone else had any other mystery plates show up?

It happens quite often, I've seen this asked before. "Apparently" cards get dropped from the production from time to time - 10-11 NT Colossal jerseys number materials have multiple holes / pieces missing in it. A Faried was also shown on the 13-14 Panini base brand sell sheet, but the card never actually got included in the final set.

Yep, I have Dorell Wrights Totally Certified plates that are from Certified Materials "Red"- this being the only colour of the rainbow they didn't include in the set! ?

You and me both. I work in the print industry tho so my perception of them is slightly different to most lol

Haha yeah if you work with them, the hate must be 1000 times worse!

Funnily enough I am awaiting on panini to fulfil a very nice Jimmy BUtler card

@West Oz Cards and I were chatting about maybe it was never produced, however I finally uncovered one of the printing plates and it definitely looked used.

I'm not sure those Aminu's show any signs of use either.

I reckon I've seen some plates for some Kyries I haven't be able to find the actual cards of, seems stupid to release plates for cards that don't exist...

I don't hate printing plates though. I generally only pick up plates for cards I'm actually likely to own one day, or for cards I already have, otherwise if they are for something I'm particularly interested in like the 12-13 Immac All Star Lineage plate I managed to pick up, Kyrie in all star jersey, plate for a true 1 of 1 (no parallel versions just the one, 1 of 1 and that's it) busted right here in Aus by Cherry. Love to know what happened to the card hey!

Well it looks like this isn't uncommon then. I would had preferred the insignias be made as it would have been awesome, but I haven't seen a non-produced aminu before. Thanks for the feedback.
