Nuggets' Nene could miss season

Denver Nuggets forward Nene likelly will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury he incurred in the teams' season opener Tuesday night.
A magnetic imaging resonance exam of the fourth-year player's right knee revealed tears to his anterior cruciate and lateral meniscus ligaments and a sprained medial collateral ligament.
Nene, who was injured with 2 minutes, 28 seconds remaining in the first quarter of Denver's 102-91 loss to San Antonio, will undergo knee surgery on a date to be determined.
