I used to get that quite a bit ( shut up boomer, calm down boomer, etc.). I thought it meant that you were a baby boomer but I'm pretty sure that's not the case, lol. To hell with the internet- and new things. Will probably get "ok boomer"d, but I'm giving these a hard pass.
"Ok granddad - digital collectibles are the future!"
Sure, but I can just watch the real footage without paying for it as "packs".
"Blockchain and cryptographic tokens are the future!"
Yeah, agreed. That's why I invest in crypto CURRENCY, but still not touching this stuff that is just flipped around between a nice audience within an already-niche audience (sports memorabilia buyers).
People that defend this stuff REALLLLLY defend it. Like far too emotionally to be normal.
Tell me you bought that BTC really early. I once owned 15 BTC when it was around the $230 mark. Oh well.i'm out on this too. have bitcoin, sure, but this is a pass, no interest.

Imaging buying a heap of BTC when it was close to worthless...and still owning it.
I'm out on this too....... I'm so old that for me collecting anything is mainly about having a physical asset.
Nerdy enough as it is showing people some of my cards, imagine having to bring them to my computer to show them how I am the proud owner of a "Moment" where Luka Doncic hit a Free Throw - Limited to 100,000.
Not for me!
My favourite story about BTC and there must be hundreds of thousands was the suposed story of a cab driver who refused to accept 50 BTC in lieu of a $20 fare in the early days of BTC.Someone the other day sold 1000 BTC (I think) that had last moved 10+ years ago. $5 million just for hodling

I love these types of "what if" stories. One of the best is the Leicester City punter who backed Leicester City to win the Premier League and cashed in his $1 bet early ( he received $2) instead of collecting the $5000 he would've eventually got. He made a British newspaper headline which read " Is this Brittain's worst punter?"
Sorry mate I have you covered. I am without question Australia's worst( and most degenerate) punter. I used to blow my weeks' wages at the track as a 17 year old. Marking out winning trifectas incorrectly, crashing at the last hurdle when 10 lengths in front, having a 50-1 trotter disqualified after shitting it in, being cut out of quinellas, trifectas and first fours because of protests, shouting the bar after thinking I'd won big only to learn the wrong horse had been called. I could go on. The list is endless. Not sure about Britans worst punter, but I am surely Australias worst! Whomever I am backing..... pick someone else!
I've been doing topshot for a few weeks now, have done pretty well.
Was going to write a long post on my thoughts, but might be better if I just answer any questions people have.
Ask away!
How much have you spent and whats your best 'moment/highlight', are the packs worth buying?
