For those of you who may be wondering why amare & diaw are suspended while duncan & bowen are not:

I downloaded NBA rulebook from www.nba.com (just type rules in their search engine and you will find a downloadable pdf file):

Rule no 12 (Fouls & Penalties), Section VI:

During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench. Violators will be suspended, without pay, for a minimum of one game and fined up to $35,000.
The suspensions will commence prior to the start of their next game.

---------------------------------------------------

In amare & diaw situation, there was altercation on the floor. In bowen & duncan's case, there was none.

If there had been altercation, say Phoenix's James Jones threw a punch at Spurs' Elson and they ended up fighting. Duncan & Bowen would've been suspended.

The rules were made before the playoffs (to dispell any conspiracy theory). Based on this, the league's decision not to suspend duncan & bowen is correct.

I have to say it's not fair, but it's correct. Such is the law.
