Lebron didnt shake hands ???

yes Lebron should have done the classical way of accepting defeat.
but lebron is not the guy to blame.

after a promising overhyped 08-09 season.
League MVP
39-2 at home
Monster playing season.

many fans expected that he'll go all the way and win his first nba championship.
for me Lebron was just really dissapointed at himself. :( so I am to lebron.

Sour grapes. That's not what a true Champion would do, not what an MVP would do, and definitely not what a King would do.

pretty poor form and a really bad example for a guy who is a role model to millions, i understand how devastated he must have been but thats no excuse, but its also pretty unchacacterisitic for a guy who has never really set a foot wrong in his career so far. I'm sure he regrets it but.

ummm.....yes he is.

Have always thought he was an outstanding player and an individual with a fair bit of class. But with this and that ridiculous "posing for photos" intro he has been doing, he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Magic, Bird, MJ or even Kobe! NO class!!

I noticed that after the game ended (I was watching live) when I realised the rest of his team were out there congratulating the Magic...thought it rather poor form. Sure he can be upset/annoyed with losing, but the leader/captain of the team to do that? Not good.

Very bad form Lebron !!!

No place for bad sports in the NBA or any sport for that matter !!!

Has he responded to his actions yet ?

I didnt like it. Even after hearing many times what he had to say about it, I could not undertsand his logic.:(

Unsportsmanlike attitude....

Your jokiing right!?!?

Sure it was a really bad thing to do and an extremly bbad example to set, but Kobe, MJ and so on are perfect little angels?!?

Please.....

Wrong thing to do, and he needs to apologise for it and learn from his mistake but to hang his whole career out to dry!!?

Whatever....

Not about to defend King James here because I disagree with how he carried himself there but If Dwight had Jacked up a three at the buzzer against a team I'm on in a series deciding game 6 blowout I'd have walked straight off too.

Was watching on Sportscenter, apparently that's just how Bron is. He did the same thing in the USA Olympic games (difference is they won), after the game he'd hardly acknowledge a player on the opposing team, let alone look them in the eyes. Maybe that's just how he is.

Either way, I don't agree with it, if he's not comfortable then he needs to learn how to be humble and show respect. That's your MVP...

nick i thought that was a bit harsh towards lebron (regarding class)...
kobe - got caught cheating on his wife while away getting his "injury attended to" [-X
mj - gambling addiction
bird - uuuuuummm... he choked dr. j

none of them are angels as theyve all done things on and off the court theyre not proud of... but hey the guy is human and we all make mistakes

guys of his ilk have such high expectation/goals that when they dont achieve them, its like a disaster... amazing mindset

im sure if he had his time over again he would have done things differently...

I have to say I was not the biggest fan of Lebron up until this series......then he really won me over with his game and I was starting to become a fan!

As one article I read stated "Lebron undid all of the great moments in the ECF series by refusing to shake the hands of the Magic players."

For me this rang true!

While the rest of the Cavs players shook hands with the victorious Magic players, Lebron just didn't seem like he wanted to be part of the Cavs team anymore. You could see it in the last few timeouts.

I think this is a sign of things to come!

Cheers
Matt

Maybe i was a little harsh :) But i was talking about on court actions. It’s like every sporting event. When you go on to the floor/court/ground/pitch/ring/etc you duke it out in whatever event it is. But at the end you shake the hand of your opponent. Even professional boxers shake/hug at the end of a bout and they have been trying to kill each other!!

To not acknowledge you opponent is about the lowest form childishness in a sporting arena. Listen to MJ talk about Joe Dumars or Kobe about Bruce Bowen. Even ******* Kenyon Martin managed to get it right when talking about the Lakers. If he had come out and said “I’m sorry, I should have done it”, fair enough. But to go on with all the “who wants to congratulate someone who has beaten” crap is even worse.
I was a huge Bron fan but this is pretty poor form from some of LBJ’s supposed stature. Maybe he can redeem himself, I certainly hope so, but I’m not sure he realises what he did was wrong.

Agreed entirely Matt. I was watching and just going WOW! How regularly he'd knock it down, without a thought! And his leadership! But then he goes and does that? I agree then with Nick...everyone knows, no matter what's been done on the court, you shake hands...

i think its just blown out because they lost

how many times do you see a normal game finish and the teams go their separate ways to the lockers. all the time

in my opinion lebron is a overrated cocky *****, he has no shot and he is build better than any bball player so he has all the best attributes athletically and physically, he is only a driver/slasher, that is how he gets his points. i mean what sorta player says ' i wanna be the first ever billionaire basketball player'. on top of that he has bad sportsmanship and is known to be a selfish basketball player, hogging it in the 05 all star game to become the youngest to get over 30 as well as several other things, such as blaming his players etc

No shot? You clearly didn't watch any of the playoffs...he was knocking then down from everywhere. Makes the rest of your post (while fairly factually sound) sound stupid/si ply Bron hating...

Your opinion is nonsense...
