Lakers v Mavs WC Playoffs Semi Finals 2011 (SPOILERS INSIDE)

As much as I wanted to see them 3 peat, the Lakers got smashed game 2 and game 4, the Mavs had an unbelievable game 4 that was truly epic, if they keep playing with the same intensity they will go all the way,

Sad way for Phil to end his dynasty getting sweeped, though I think Carlisle's made some fair comments of him returning after a few seasons off, also Jackon's daughter is absolutely banging! I think the Lakers need to offload Bynum and Artest, there sportsmanship during this series reminds me of the Pistons back in 91 when they got sweeped by the Bulls, still can't figure out why Barea was targeted

Gotta give Kobe credit for facing the media after the game, he hates losing and this Loss would be very hard for him,

Going forward its going to be an interesting time for the Lakers, hoping all the bandwagon fans will bail and Kobe Autos will get cheaper over the offseason

Hoping the C's can beat the Heat, though I think the theme of this years Playoffs is the changing of the gaurd, so surprised with Memphis as much as I'd like to see OKC go through I think they will face the Mavs in the Western Conference Finals

Bynum also did that to Gerald Wallace a year or 2 back and he was hurt - missed a few games. I had a 10 game suspension figure in my head too. Would be thoroughly deserved.

Damn!!!!! how many 3's did the mavs hit? Lamar and Bynum ejected whats the deal with Bynum taking his jersey off? haha

Frustration? More douchebaggery? He had to walk past the Mavs bench - notice how there is no footage of any of that, that I have seen anyway apart from some aerial shot where he's already passed, just the commentators saying that the coaches were restraining Mavs players to avoid suspensions
And no beer or popcorn thrown on him either, man the Dallas crowd are civilized...

Oh man did I enjoy seeing the Fakers get SMASHED in that game!!!!!!!!!! What a thing of beauty!!! Terry & Peja my god....... they were off the hook!!!!!! :worthy:

Oh & Bynum really is a POS!!!!!!

That's the second time he's done something like that..... first on Beasley & now on little Berrea.... for those that didn't see it it is below..

Lastly...... cya FAKERS!!!!!!!

And a while back on Gerald Wallace...

As a lakers fan what can I say that hasn't already been said

Disgraceful by bynum, you could tell from the look on Phil's and Kobe's face that they thought the same and the whole shirt off thing..FARK!
Hope he enjoyed his last game as a laker, him and his dodgy farking knees!!!

I am thinking "Eight Men Out" or maybe only 3 or so in this case.....

GO THE HEAT :D

man, i hope that peasent gets traded to china to play with marbury..

phil and kobe were like 'what the **** just happened'

i hope he gets suspended for a decent while, like 25 games..

and i reckon the lakers will trade him..

**** him off..

First off as a big Mavericks fan....Woooooooo!!!! So bloody happy to sweep the Lakers and finally dominate them for once, I remember back in the early 2000's always sitting down to watch the games at L.A. in the Shaq/Kobe days and hope that a miracle would happen and we would win. The reason being that because the Mavs had not one one measley game at Staples in like the past 25-30 games and to be the lower seed and dominate like they did is amazing!

I was pumped to get up this morning and see a 24 point lead at the half and keep going for "toilet breaks" to check scores...never been so happy to go to the toilet! haha Got home and watched the game and could not wipe the smile off my face watching the JET and Peja drill 3's from all over the court at will. The only time the smile disappeared was when the thugs Odom and especially Bynum thought that they might deside to play physical with both absolutely unnecessary plays off the ball (on Nowitzki...not majorly bad) and while a midget is flying through the air (Barea). I think it was Hubie Brown that hit the nail on the head when he said something like "you win like champions, you lose like champions" completely uncalled for and I hope Bynum pays with something around a 10 game suspension. Ohh and another thing, Matt Barnes your a joke, you try and act like a tough man in the last regular season meeting taking on JET when it was your beef but Blakes and then push our assistant coach Terry Stotts into your own fans and after the game pretty much say the Mavs are a push over and you just have to "Punk them"...what ever that means, go work on a few more tatts to cover your body mate to make yourself look tough you now have some extra time on your hands. The Mavs are no longer a soft team since Chandler has joined the team and Dirk has grown some more balls.

Now I just hope we can keep it together and continue this awesome play against either OKC or MEM with what could be a bit of a lengthy break. Not sure who I'd rather play last home game versus the Grizz, Z-Bo hit a buzzer beater against us and facing KD/Westbrook is always going to pose a problem. For the meantime I'll just enjoy watching them beat up on each other :)

PFFFFT Mavs got lucky.....Gasol with a stupid Foul with 20 ticks left....Watched the game a few times so far....And PAU GASOL WHERE ARE YOU????Where was he when the Mavs went on a nice little run of their own??
This Loss can land on Gasol's Shoulders....Haywood and Chandler did a excellent job on Bynum...The Mavs wont shoot that well again from the 3 PT line we just have to come out and be agressive in GM 2...I think we will still win the series...
And what was with Phil playing Blake and Barnes more than Kobe in the 4TH???

Sorry I had to highlight that ;) You can't really say that they couldn't match Game 1's 3pt display when we have 3pt shooters like Kidd, Peja, Dirk, Terry, DeShawn, Barea and you might even throw Brewer in that group...if he gets some court time...ohh and even Roddy B if he wasn't injured.

WOW what some absolute BS calls!!!Artest Technical wasnt even a foul?!!

And again another soft foul for the Soft Nowitzki

---------- Post added 05-05-2011 at 02:14 PM ----------

And the BS calls keep on coming.....

Not sure if you have watched much of Nowitzki's games from a couple years back to the present. He was soft back a couple years ago I admit but he has worked really hard and mixes his fadeaway's and jumpers with more drives to the hoop and if you looked at his stats is taking less and less 3pt shots and has more points in the paint ;)

Awesome win Mavs. Watching the Lakers get beaten is almost as good a feeling as watching the Knicks win for me.

Man, I think all non-Lakers fans are loving this!!! :D

Hell yeah awesome feeling man, almost feels like we won the Championship just taking down the Lakers and even better to do it when Odom and Bynum act how they did!

Gotta love Dirk, Terry and Kidd. They are the most underated players of the last ten years even with Dirk winning some MVP love I dont think he gets enough praise. Maybe after this series we can finally stop hearing how much of a great clutch shooter Bryant is - cause it aint bloody true.

I've been waiting for this for the Mavs to finally gets some due credit from the media and basketball community...but then again I guess the dissapointing first round exits havn't helped thier cause much at all. But this is as good as opportunity as ever to continue there run into the Finals.

I personally am putting alot of this on Fish and Pau. I really think Fish should step away at seasons end and not even think about going again, hes to slow and not much of a threat offensively. Pau Should be doing what Bynum did and demand the ball and actually make Dirk play some D which should slow him a little on the offensive end. Also Lakers are again getting killed from down town. Why is it so hard to defend the pick and roll when u know whats coming? How many times has Dirk been left outside 3 open??? Not good enough and as much as i hate to say it i really hope we do get swept and have a good look at the team and a clean up at seasons end.

Either way its hard to see anyone stopped Miami or the Bulls. Really hope Bulls take it.

During the season Dallas swept Miami and Bulls swept Mavs. Although I'd not to concerned about the Bulls because the first meeting was the Mavs 8th game for the season and the second was early January so alot has changed for either team and both losses were by only 5 points.

There was actually footage on it on the broadcast, Terry and Marion had some choice words for him and Chandler was been held back by Brian Cardinal...that's why his on the team to hold back Chandler because boy could that man do some damage haha! Cardinal was also holding him back on the bench when Barnes pushed Terry Stotts aswell...notice how they do it when Chandler is on the bench

Great post Nick haha.......

Some more amusing things from the game...

As Nick mentioned above with Odom's Flagrant..... this happened shortly before Bynum's incident:

Also it appears JT failed at fractions in School.....

This is pretty funny too..

GO THE HEAT :D

Haha... you are totally opposite to a friend of mine who is also a Laker fan (unfortunately), he would like to get rid of Pau & keep Bynum & he LOATHES the Heat.

Oh yeah...... forgot about this too

Classless way to go out for the Lakers. Just thoroughly whooped fair and square in this series and they had to end it with being thugs. I feel embarrassed for the organisation, but especially for Phil Jackson. In what is likely to be his last hurrah, he really deserved better from the team in keeping their poise and dignity.

Buh Bye Lakers! Thank christ Phil is retiring can't stand him. And Bynum should have got more than 5 games purely for the lesson factor.

Gives the Celtics another chance now!......... oh, wait :(
