Did anyone read this in the paper today.
Herald Sun

"Denver Nuggets guard Julius Hodge was shot and wounded while driving on a highway yesterday. The NBA team said he was in a fair condition and was expected to make a full recovery. Sheriffs deputies said the 22 year old was struck in the lower body. Hodge was in north Denver about 2am when another vehicle pulled along side and someone inside fired several shots."

2 rookies getting shot in the same year. Just might be a first. I think though Andray Blatche made a full recovery. Hopefully Hodge will too.

Yeah read this on NBA.COM i thought it was going to be about a shooting slump/ or good run. Definately was not expecting GUN SHOT

Moral of this story - Don't dress like a Gangsta:

DENVER (AP) — Nuggets rookie Julius Hodge was "dressed like a gang member" at a nightclub hours before he was shot and wounded, and someone had flashed a gang sign at him, the club manager said.

Hodge, 22, was released from a hospital on Sunday, a day after he was shot three times in the legs while driving on a north Denver freeway. Authorities said they have no suspects and have not established a motive.

"He had a bandanna over his head, and maybe they thought he was in a gang," Paladium club manager Jose Ramirez told the Rocky Mountain News in Tuesday's editions.

Hodge had gone to the club to talk to a friend, hip-hop artist Juelz Santana, who was performing there, Adams County investigators said.

Ramirez said someone in the club's parking lot had flashed a gang sign at Hodge. It wasn't immediately clear whether Ramirez witnessed the incident.

The Nuggets have said Hodge is expected to fully recover and could play again in two or three weeks.

Investigators said that after Hodge left the nightclub, he and a passenger were on Interstate 76 when another vehicle pulled alongside and fired several shots into Hodge's car.

Hodge stopped and his passenger, whose name hasn't been released, flagged down another motorist who took the pair to a hospital. Investigators said the passenger was slightly injured.
