These last few months I've been feeling pretty good about going cold turkey from my box breaks and have gotten my cardboard fix by picking up singles instead (as any sane collector well should)!
So after pulling a handful of these cards from last years immaculate breaks I knew that I had to have more
This is - in my humble opinion - one of Panini's most beautifully crafted & deviously implemented chase sets of recent years.
However, closer scrutiny of the checklist revealed the terrifying reality - within the 100 card veteran set exists:
- 76 cards #'d to 25 and under
- 42 cards #'d to 10 and under
- 18 cards #'d to 5 and under
and
- Yikes!- 5 cards #'d to 1
Here's my progress: after buying up a frenzy I'm sitting at 84%... which may realistically be about as far as I can go, as finishing the set would be an almost certain impossibility.
From high to low
Complete with custom (& slightly dodgy) home made housing!
Thanks for the look and please share your own cards from this set (rookies too)! Compared to the puzzle-like logo & number jumbos, *aesthetically* each one of these cards can stand alone as a thing of rare beauty... but that's just my own biased view, of course
