Just wondering if anyone knows how many cases of 07/08 exquisite produced? I was trying figure out the minimum amount of exquisite cases being produced and here was my method. I assumed that any auto's involving MJ, Lebron, Kobe and Durant, along with all logoman auto and all triple logoman and the draft pick "A" and "B" redemption being the case hits. So that means on average only one of those cards will be in a case. Upper Deck will have to produce close to 1500 cases to cover all those hits. Although on some very rare occasions I have seen 2 of those case hits being put in the same case; several of the times I have seen none of those being in a case. Makes me wonder whether upper deck really produces that many "A" level cards as they claim in their checklist.

Cant we just ask UD about this. I would assume that it should be a public knowledge, right? Or maybe not.

They never answer any email that questions their work. For example, I sent them an email because I didn't really get a case hit for my 06/07 Exquisite (unless you consider a Rudy Gay RC is a case hit) and they never sent me any reply.

Do you think they really produced that many cases then?

A case hit could be a 1/1 card.....such as printing plate or 1/1 parallel (without auto). Could be a Jordan or Kobe or LeBron or Durant auto. but could also be a Magic Johnoson or Bird auto.

I opened about 7 cases, Got one Kobe auto, one Durant auto, one 1/1 (Harrington without auto), one Bird/Johnson dual auto, a Draft pick B redemption, and a few other things - but those were the big ones.

So what you call a "case hit" is not necessarily a very big card.

Best way to calculate the number of cases produced is by looking at the checklist and seeing what is produced. You also have to take into account the auto boxes and their cards. Since all cards are numbered you can easily tell how many cards are produced and divide that by 15 to get the number of cases.

One thing though, the checklist provided I do not think includes those redemptions for uncut sheets.

Ersk
