Holograms turning black

Any one has problems with their holograms turning totally black?

I have a Superman SD3 that turned totally black, the 2nd SD3 is starting to get fuzzy.

And I have 2.. that's right, 2 SD2 SkyDisc Supermans that are about 80-90% black from the middle out, only the edges are still in colour.

No issues with most of my other hologram cards at the moment.

There's something about the skydiscs in particular. It's very common and presumably has something to do with how they made them at the time. Others have turned blue. The general advice is to not let them see sunlight, but I am not convinced that has anything to do with it. Your other holograms are likely to be okay, the skydiscs are the most affected.

Thanks for the info!

I am very surprised at this, as Skydiscs were the top tier insert cards back in the 90s.
And my cards were always, and still are stored in drawers. They seldom see daylight, if ever.

That's 4 Discs (2xSD2 & 2x SD3) down the drain..

At least the SD1 Batman, Badrock and Death Skydiscs are still looking fine.
