Hi guys im a new member here. Thinking about starting to collect NFL cards. I have never collected NFL before and im just wondering on what would be the best to start with?

I'd personally work out whether you want to collect certain players, teams or sets. Will be a good starting point.

Thanks for the reply. No real preference so i guess it just comes down to picking a brand lol. i have been looking online at 2015 tops finest and they look really nice.

Finest is a good product. It was one I got in on last year. Budget is also another thing lol

Hi Dave and welcome to OzCT!

For my two cents, I'd put budget at the top of the list when looking at anything, particularly a hobby like sports-cards collecting.

NFL cards luckily are a darn-sight cheaper than NBA on average, especially acquiring cards on the secondary market.
In saying that though, being a super-popular sport in the USA there is about 30-40 releases per year for the NFL, so there is NFL product releases every other week.

A few possible ideas to get you started on what to collect or products you might like;

• Check out the singles and box-break sections here in the OZCT forums.
• search eBay for NFL singles and seeing what card types you like.
• watch a couple of live box breaks on one of (my) West Oz Cards or Cherry Collectables live shows to see some product being opened
• If you're on facebook, search and join up to the Australian NFL card traders page to see a heap of available singles

Thanks for the advice guys. Been looking on comc just at what is available and there are some nice cards around. I'll have a look at some breaks at stuff being opened too!
