As i have been toying with the idea for some time of getting a company up for grading systems...
My biggest thing would be getting people to trust it. Then being reconised as a genuine card grader in Aus.
It would be hard to be taken serious and become established...
But what it would offer is -
1. Anti tamper holders so the buyers would know exactly what there getting
2. Online data base of cards. Another way to make sure they cant be tampered with. ie serial number #001 was a Matthew Primus Capatain Sig car. Graded 9.5 etc etc
3. easier to sell online etc as it would give people an idea without seeing it themselves
Also a card is a card so it wouldnt have to be AFL specific.. As its grading on the card itself not the rarity of it etc
yea i would be happy to help out also
I used to work at a large printing company, and understand ink on paper, plates, foil, diecutting, guillotining (eg. how the print on the card is centred), numbering, coatings, etc. Nearly anything that's special about the cards these days, I can advise on. I would be happy to consult/guide.
I actually believe, if this type of thing gets any momentum, it could prompt the Selects of the world to spend more time on their quality assurance programs. On the NRL side of things, the 09 Champions series was a disgrace, and QA should be tightened up.

and are above any sort of favoritism
I think it's best to leave this one to the grown-ups mate
PS. That goes for Lions2003 as well
