The classic game also saw Nets point guard Jason Kidd tie Wilt Chamberlain for third place with 78 career triple-doubles. Kidd finished with 38 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists, but the point guard dribbled the ball off his foot with 10 seconds left, costing the Nets a chance to tie.
Nash had a great game with 42 points and double digit assists & J.Kidd's game was awesome with a tripple double which included 38 points. Great effort by both players.
Call me a dumbarse, but I'd consider Nash to be a better player than Stockton.
I think Stockton's Assists came MOSTLY from the Mail Man dunking on people, or scoring down low, etc.
Where as with Nash, he's got Amare to do the same job, but also has shooters on the win, leapers catching the alley-oops, and more.
And whilst Kidd is awesome, his stats have been consistent since he and Grant Hill became co ROYs. I think one year it was a chase to see who'd get more 3D's Kidd or Hill.
