Exquisite Box

because it is 03-04 Exquisite and extremely hard to get hold of a box. A sealed case usually goes for over 10k. Remember it is Lebron's rookie year
 
If you pulled a Lebron RC Auto Patch, I think you could sell that baby for about $8-$9K or something stuipid....

Very hit and miss, with only 5 cards, but it IS the cherry on the top of the current Hobby flavours.....

Just curious, I have to ask the people who thinks this box and other things are overpriced.

Would it changed your mind if you pull a LeBron Exquisite RC from your 03-04 Exquisite Collection box from Edge and sold it for $20K?

It's all business when it comes to investors & Exquisite, hence, what brought up the price.

But then again, you may think some cards are overpriced too but let me just say, if I had that mentality of overpriced and under priced, my Iverson collection wouldn't be where it is right now.

It is what's it's worth, to the eye of the beholder.

Very well said. I touched on that with my comment as 'because people are willing to pay that'. A card is only worth what someone is willing to pay/trade for it. A card could have a BV of $1000 but if there is no one on the planet willing to pay more than $5, that is what it is worth.

This is especially prevalent with my collection. To pretty much everyone on this board Korver is a nothing that if pulled you got a dud 'hit', but then I'm willing to pay for him what others probably pay for real stars. Do I think I'm being ripped off? No. I'm not going to re-sell these ever so why does it matter what I buy them for?

Yes this box is overpriced, since it has been listed for so long and no takers, but then 1 day, as the box numbers dwindle, someone will buy that box.

The key word there being if.. ;)

Btw.. unless they have gone up recently I thought the Lebron RC's were selling for $8-$10k.... better to pay twice the box cost & get the sure thing than to gamble 50% of that cost at the chance you'll get one......

That's right, you're FAR better off just buying a bron, or you could end up with a bunch of cards worth a few hundred dollars :rolleyes:
