Saw recently that Frank Kadar was open for some sketch card commissions. Have liked his work for some time now and don't have enough of it, so gave him a go. It started as one, then became three cards and there's another 2 on the way now. To all you sketch collectors out there who have thought of getting an artist to do a commissioned piece for you but have had doubts, I can heartily recommend Frank. Great guy to deal with, communicative (either through his etsy store or Facebook) enthusiastic and totally professional. Did the sketches ahead of time and without any probs whatsoever. In short, it was a great experience. First off I asked Frank to do Lady Sif. I like the movie Sif more than the comic one, so was stoked when Frank gave me the choice. Of course that then led to one of each, LOL. And seeing I didn't have many of her, I though I'd get his take on Black Widow as well. So here we go.
First off - Black Widow. Love the shiny leather suit !
Next up the comic character Sif, complete with blowing snow....
And finally, the movie Sif - This one even garnered a "Favorite" from Lady Sif herself, Jaimie Alexander on Twitter. Awesome piece with great detail - look at the reflections in the armour.
So there you go. I have two others to come yet and will post them when they arrive. Next time Frank's open for work, be sure to give him a go. And I'm not even getting a kickback am I Frank ? ;-)
